All of my official presets. I've worked with glowing, transparent, moving, animated, and metallic codes, but not all of those presets were ever finished. So here's my main work. :)

Don't steal. Characters either belong to myself or the commission.

Yeah, my November preset is sweet, but the one code for the moon phase glitches and I'm still not sure why, so until someone helps me out I can't submit it for the contest. Why won't codes work for you? What kind of codes do you try to use?

I suppose... But it's not nearly as cool without it. Plus I worked way too hard for all of those frames to be thrown out. lol

You might have to tweak them a bit to get them to work, but once you've spent enough frustrated nights yelling at your computer you'll be a pro at writing out coding...

Also, that doesn't really explain too well how I am supposed to do it, it just gives the coding... Do I create different layers in the same image or???

Post by: Lawcere on December 06, 2011, 04:49:51 pm: It all depends on what kind of codes you want. For a basic moving code you have your base file (the usual preset files, like the body) and you have separate file for your moving texture.

If you want the texture moving underneath the body, you need the body to have transparent spots for the moving texture to show through and the texture needs to be solid.

If you want a moving texture overtop your body, like mine, the moving texture needs to have transparent areas.

It's going to be a lot of trial and error your first few times using coding, but don't get too frustrated with it. I think the coding sometimes just doesn't want to work because it's an ascot...

I came across a brush set that Sully made... I'm sorry, I can't remember where I found it. Most likely around this forum. It's a set of brushes for Photoshop (or whatever editing software) that are shaped like samples of fur/scales/feathers so when you paint it gives a nice fur texture, from shorthair to fluffy.

You should try checking the Member Made Tutorial section, or youtube for an explanation. Basically you have two types of files layered overtop of each other, the not-moving texture and the moving texture (if you want the entire body to move then you only need one layer, and it can be solid or transparent).
