Agreed. Youtube keeps changing and each time there's one more thing I don't know where to find. LOL.
I much rather prefer the old old ones, as you posted. They were very simple to use.

I really miss those channels, they were so plain and simple indeed. They literary were perfect for the site...
I've been loosing interest for YT the last year, and this just brought it down even lower.
Before IT and FH, Youtube used to be my own little second home. arr.. :/

Honestly I laugh at this, it looks like facebook!! *outraged* But w/e.. they DO do this a LOT.. what we gunna do? Cry about it? Perhaps.. I dislike the constant changes they make.. but.. *sigh* I suppose we could write complaints and shitz, and adapt for now, I feel ya, Red!! >-<

I'm afraid that there's not really much we can do here.
It was shown the last time they changed to the youtube beta. I'm not joking if 50% of the youtube users did not even want it, another 20% that didn't care. But they still changed it anyway. Ever since google bought youtube it were never about the users anymore.
I'm not sure who it is that makes these calls, but I do not like em at all. Facebook aye..
Makes me a lil saddies I must say.

Yes! Old things are so much better then new things these days. For example. Movies, classics..never get old. Or like the tv shows of our childhood :3 I was on youtube and my friend texted me and said Youtube looks weird. I refreshed the page and was like O.O

i hate the revamped youtube -,- and i agree on rachel, older things are better. and when people try to redo old things there mostly never work out >_<

:/ I don't have a YouTube account (feel free to punch me for that), and I only use YouTube for music and videos about Pokemon, so I'm pretty neutural about the changes. But judging by how you guys seem to dislike it, I'm going to assume it's pretty bad...

i so dont understand why the youtube makers/editers/whatevers keep doing this? they want more youtube users, right? well there losing their users. because nobody cares about how cool the layout looks, or fancy things that can be done. They just care about sharing and watching videos! How can they just ignore all of the hints!? just because a few people want a cooler looking youtube doesnt mean that everybody wants it.
While typing this, i came up with an idea worthy of submitting to youtube administrators:
A skin/layout selector xD like proboards. for those losers who want this new fancy youtube, keep it. I will gladly stick to the original

Lol while I agree the new layout isnt the most "youtube-est" I just dont see the point in getting too frustrated over it. I doubt theyll bring it back.

i agree, i remember when i first started using YT. it was great, no confusing stuff, simple stars for ratings, and the channels fast and easy to use. now it just looks like crap. the channels are horrible, the "[insert number of dislikes here] people didnt [insert stupid thing here]" jokes and ppl who ask for "thumbs up if" jokes are so annoying that i literally want to punch them in the face. >:( YT turned into crap over years. I want the original YT back DX
User: "thumbs up if your watching this in 2011"
Me: "no Im watching this in the year 3000. of course im wathing it in 2011. wtf?"

you know why this is? my sister said it's because google gained control over youtube DX she said they even asked for her phone number 0_o google always up in people's business

Well yes. A big reason why youtube has changed so much is infact because of them.
For those that didn't know already youtube was bought up by google a few years back, and that was actually when the changes started to take place. Just take a quick look on how you must link your youtube account to a google account nowadays whether you want it or not.
Whilst the old youtube were based around fresh ideas and fun, the google youtube is more about business and earning money. Sponsored channels get more views, there's ads everywhere, star rating system removed and you cannot see the rating on videos when looking on related list anymore. You know, such things.

Youtube isn't that bad. Yes changes do cause trouble but you get use to them. It's not like facebook's annoying changes.

Youtube is more change friendly but they seem to be neck and neck for changing. Well what I mean is that they seem to like to change around the same time as each other.

I do not like the sight of it, not at all. There's... A few users that like to spend their time on their channels and sharing vids there, comment on profiles and vids much more than hanging on Facebook.
The frustration can be very big aye.
If I were a hardcore youtuber as I used to be a few years back. I'd probably be even worse.

just recently there are ads in the recomended videos. THEY HAVE NOISE AND MUSIC THAT INTERFERES WITH MY MUSIC. >.< and the channels say "All channels will be updated to the new layout in March 1, 2012." god dammit its becoming a problem when i dont care if YouTube is closed down by SOPA
but then again...where will i get my music T.T

All the sites i go on are changing there looks. It's seems like everyones going "Hey, they changed theirs, lets change ours" and it keeps going and going ._.

Bump for new relevance!
The channel designs are now mandatory, and I hate them with all of my heart. It used to be easy to just listen to music by clicking on my favorites and going down the list, now i have to move through three pages and go back and forth on my channel page. I really really hate the new channel layouts >:|
