my character just came back from a map i made and as usual i'm not good at coordinates at all so i ended up in the water. when i swam up all of my portals were gone and nobody was at the cape! not only that but when i tried to go through the portal back to flourite it says it can't find the map file even though i checked and flourite plains is where it should be. help?
PS: i don't think reinstalling will work because this happened before and when i redownloaded and reinstalled the game the map file still couldn't be found

A clean install always help.
But you also must make sure you actually delete the game completely from the computer, otherwise it might bump into the same issue again.
If the character came "back" from a map you made it doesn't really matter to cape, because cape automatically places everyone on the same spot unless there's issues collecting position data, you do not even have to enter coordinates of where you will come back in cape, just where you will get placed on your way into your map.
There's just 1 way to get back to the working cape, and that is via the portal that is created when you use "Has portal" function in the map maker. Any other way is faulty as far as I know.

the things is i can't get back to my map because all the portals are gone but the flourite one

Try reset home, go home, and then run to cape again.
If your map portals are still gone, do a complete reinstall of the game, but save your maps.
Once you've removed the old game, and installed it again.
Add 1 map at the time and see so it works properly.

i'll try going back to bonfire and see if i can get to the normal cape again

--problem solved--- and i saw you in flourite i was like o_0. not that it's wierd for you to use the game but...yeah XD
