Title: Texture Problem?
Post by: Lavablaze on December 17, 2011, 10:24:26 pm
Hello againnnn....

So now it's a texture problem.

I have the notepad coding called "Barn Mat" (There is no Barn mesh for it although all I need is the texture inside the file)
I have all the thinga code in it, with the jpg and png files in the places where they go. EX: Dirt1 The  image is in the file with the notepad.

Once I load it it says "Dirt1 Cannot be found!" or something like that...

^Looks good. You should be putting in this name for the material:

material BarnSide
{
   technique
   {
      pass
      {
         texture_unit
         {
FIDDLEBACKMAKORE.jpg
         }
      }
   }
}

Brenna, uninstall FH and redownload it.

Wait, it still wont show up...Is it because of the size of the image? (Over 1,000+)

Hmm. Try resizing the image to 512 X 512 or 513X 513. That usualy doesn't matter though.

Trymaking sure the .MATERIAL file and the .jpgs or whatever are in the same folder. You should put them into my_objects {FeralHeart->media->objects->my_objects}

Also, copy the .MATERIAL file into materials {FeralHeart->media->materials}

Earlier 1000 x 1000 was working, and yes I have it in my objects, Im just putting them on basiccube.mesh ect ect.

Murr. Put up the .MATERIAL file up on mediafire and the jpgs on photobucket or something, so I can try it myself.

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?did0q0zplndce4x (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?did0q0zplndce4x)

Download that. Put ALL of the files into {FeralHeart->media->objects->my_objects}
AND {FeralHeart->media->materials}

They worked fine for me. You must not have put them in the right place.

ALSO, are you putting the matname in the right box Follow this for the material name part :  http://feral-heart.com/index.php?option=com_jfusion&Itemid=2&jfile=index.php&topic=12012.0 (http://feral-heart.com/index.php?option=com_jfusion&Itemid=2&jfile=index.php&topic=12012.0)
