Title: Map Ground Texture Help --Please respond soon--
Post by: Zispy on January 14, 2012, 09:59:19 pm
I am making my map and had some problems with the meshes showing, but I think I know how to get them to show. But now that I let my friend help me, she did something and I do not know what, but I got most of it fixed, except when I go into map maker on my map it ends up like this.. black.

Also when it shows the terrains, like grass, sand, dirt, pebbles, etc. it only shows "None" which is black.

Like the picture above.

Things I have done:

Friend took everything out of exports and I put them back (I don't know why she did.).

Redownloaded FH patch

Redownloaded FH setup installer - problem with it is that when I try to open it it says: "The setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program."

^ Which means I cannot open/run it.

Please help soon.

This may torture you, but you're going to have to delete all of your custom maps and meshes and reinstall FeralHeart. Delete your FH folder entirely, re-download FH (when it tells you the setup files are corrupt, it means that the installer didn't download completely. This is just a glitch that I've actually experienced myself.) You can try the torrent if the normal download doesn't work for you, but first you'll need utorrent which you can get here: http://www.utorrent.com (http://www.utorrent.com)

What this will do is simply give you a mostly clean sheet to work with. You might also try updating your graphics card and checking which rendering subsystem works better for you (options>video>rendering subsystem>openGL or direct3D9).

Good luck, and next time don't let your friend mess with your files. xD

Do you know if I could put them in another folder then delete it from the OS(C:) drive?..
