Title: How do you make an ocean of lava?

Thanks but I already have a lava texture that I made. What I really need to know is how to make characters swim in lava like they do in water.

Post by: Ingredient on February 14, 2012, 12:47:05 am: The lava is water just with a different texture. Its like red dyed water, it looks like blood but its not. Just plain old water with red dye in it.

Just jump in the water and swim in it, different texture or not. Thats why waters there, to enjoy it, to swim in it, to live with it. Just because the texture looks like lava doesnt make it lava its still water, you are still able to swim in it.

Post by: Ingredient on February 18, 2012, 03:14:03 pm: If it showed as a white reflection it means theres something wrong with the texture. If its typed in incorrectly then it will turn white.

Make sure the image is placed in the textures folder and the material file in the materials folder. Type the water textures material in correctly too.
