Title: "Feralheart has found an error"
Post by: Night24 on February 16, 2012, 01:58:51 am
Dear Feralheart Admins/Mods,

I've been having an issue with my game for about two weeks. Every time I try to log in as any character at all, a pop up shows saying "Feralheart has found an error and needs to close." So I went to forums and found someone with a similar situation. Another person recommended uninstalling the game and installing it again, which I did. However the problem still occurs. A few people on DeviantART told me that the game had been temporarily shut down due to abuse, another told me that the game was available again and wasn't sure why I was having this issue. Do you know what the problem is?
Lastly, if I violated any rules by posting this (mentioning other sites, ect) I apologize beforehand.

It's alright. Ok, I just wasn't sure. I've had problems with other site forums before for odd reasons like that before.

Well, the game was closed for a week so that people would know that they were serious about how things like rape and other such trolling issues needed to stop. However.

- Go into your C:\FeralHeart\media\particles folder. Inside of it, there should be particles with the name _01 _02 in them. These are copies of an already existing particle. Remove these from the folder and then run the game.

- Remove the maps in your "exports folder" then try to run the game again.

- if that fails open your ogre.cfg with notepad and change your rendering mode to the one NOT selected.

This should help you with your crashing problems.

Alright, I'll try those. Thank you.

Ok, I deleted the maps in the exports folder. Particles 01 and 02 were not there, nor was there another option for a rendering mode. Still have the same problem. I don't know what else to do.

Can someone PLEASE help me?
I've been waiting for a response from someone...it's been weeks since I last played FeralHeart and my friends keep asking why I'm not online anymore. Does anyone have an idea how this can be fixed?

1. It'd be best ye' make a help thread of yer own in the Game Help section of the forums instead of postin' on another's.
2. Do not necro-thread old threads. This thread hasn't been conveyed in over a year or two. Check the dates to when the last few posts in a thread were made before postin' yerself.

As for yer situation, the registrations are not open right now. I'd wait for them to open before makin' a new account. Also:

Hey! So, I've noticed lots of help threads about this. Look here instead! It's usually just little things that are easy to fix.

1. Make sure your caps lock is not on. The login is caps sensitive! Make sure you're typing everything correctly.

2. Do not use the numpad! Use the numbers above the alphabet on your keyboard.

3. Does your username or password have any unusual symbols such as ?$!@*-_ ect.? This can mess things up for some people. Make a new account if you're having trouble with symbols. If you make a new one, please try to stick with a-z letters, nothing capitalized.

4. Make sure that your keyboard language is in English! It won't log you in unless you have a US keyboard setting.

5. If you're trying to log on ingame, make sure the server is up and running. You can do this by looking at the top of the banner of this forum.

6. Make sure you are logging in with your username, not forum nickname. My actual username is JazzForLife, and I log in with that. I do not use Jazzz, because that is my forum nickname.

7. Even if you change your password on the forum, your password for the game will always be the same you signed up with.

See if that helps with yer account situation Ms.

(Adding on to Vespian)

Are you clicking the 'register' button on the forums?
When you click that and it's not open, it'll give you an error. If I remember correctly, it's a 404 Connecton Error/Webpage Expired Error. (Or something along those lines.)

You have to wait for the registration to open. ^^ It'll say: 'MAKE AN ACCOUNT' at the top of the screen.
Also, make sure you have an email address you haven't used here, otherwise, it's not going to work.

The registration opens for two hours everyday. I'd refresh your webpage every hour so you can catch it.

Well since it seems you have gotten answers from Ves and Alpha on a old thread, ill go ahead and ask a staff to lock this cause reviving old thread isn't allowed on here sadly.
If you do however need any further help and advise in your current predicament, please make your own thread in the "Game Help" section.
Click this to go to the Game Help section (http://www.feral-heart.com/index.php?option=com_jfusion&Itemid=2&jfile=index.php&board=24.0)

As Feareh stated we ask you to please check when the thread was made before posting in it.
Do not necro old threads or ask questions in another users help thread.
