im very tired and need to sleep, but iv done so much work on this map iv created.
i just want to save it so i wont loose all my work. please, can someone tell me how to do that step by step?
my map's name is HyperRealm.png and i want my Display name to be the same, but it keeps telling me its an invalid name. im just about ready to put anything as a name, so can anyone tell me either, a valid name, or whats wrong?

Maps cannot have "." in the map name or display name. You don't need the .png, as maps are not image files.

In theory, you should just be able to go under the "Map" tab in the map maker, enter in something like... HyperRealm in the first box and Hyper Realm in the second. I'm confused as to when this is giving you this error.

i know, i tried just HyperRealms, heck! i tried "dog" without the "" in it!i just really dont want to loose my work, and im really tired O/e
and im afraid if i just leave it as is and try to find it later, ill end up loosing all my work I.E: the rocks, water, trees.

And you're sure that your map file is the right format and such and you're using the right section to type in your map save name? Because I've never head of this issue before, actually.

are you still putting ".png"? It won't work if you have a ".png" in the name.

okay, thank you all so much, iv figured it out., i had a web-browser running which was why it wouldnt let me save anything. (weird computer) one last question. in SkyRim, what are the round (or square) things we jump on called? i cant seem to find them.

Sky's Rim? The platforms are the islands, the lands. They turn into stone platforms in some places, though in other pats they're floating islands.

where can i find the platforms? to use in my map? and by platforms, i mean the small round (sometimes square) platforms you have to jump on in order to get to Sky's Rim.

You need to go into the object maker and load rockisland.mesh and rockisland2.mesh. be sure to check the "own collision" box after you load them, and then save them.

do i just type rockisland.mesh in the name?

click the "mesh" tab and put it in the box labeled "mesh"

oh okay, thanks. then i just click "own collision" and it will in the map maker? no saving?
