Only a few hours ago Opal Clan had faced the worst of tragedies for the animal world: a human invasion. A scout had reported a human sighting only a few days before the incident and now he was gone with the others in man's vehicles. The wounded had accumulated to the point where no medic could ever save them. The last of the medics approached his new leader, a wolf who still had much learning to do before he would be ready for this position. Canicas, a new leader in a time of need, sat at the edge of a lake, his eyes revealing him to be reflecting on the recent tragedy. "What do we do now, alpha," the old medic asked as Canicas came around. A sad smile lit the alpha's muzzle as he looked over to his parents' friend. And he calmly replied,
"We move on."

Opal Clan is of the "good" alliance in the fact that we care about our members and wouldn't want to diminish our numbers by killing any one of them. After the humans' attack on the previous generation, Opal Clan is seeking out new members to add to its numbers once again. We are a literate roleplay and an active one. If that means you can only reply to this thread on the weekends, that's fine but not touching your characters for week after week is not acceptable. This group will probably have a map in time but for now we are in a place called "Opal Paradise". This location will be explained later.
B a c k g r o u n d !
In the northeast corner of Opal Paradise is Opal Valley. This place is now wiped out of trees and inhabited with a few humans and their cabins. They only return to here during the summer though Canicas has banned Opal Clanners from entering this area due to the tragedy that had occurred in this place. Opal Clan originally inhabited Opal Valley as their den site. Humans found the canines and felines in this area and moved them the fastest way possible: extermination. With many of the members now dead or scattered, Canicas has restarted the clan in hopes of seeing old members again as well as welcoming in much needed new members to Opal Paradise.
O p a l P a r a d i s e !
Opal Paradise is a large forest area claimed by the Opal Clan. The northeast corner has since been taken over by humans and is now off-limits for obvious reasons. This region was previously called Opal Valley. The clan now lives in Opal Falls, in the middle of the territory. This place is heavily populated by pine trees and dens big enough for small families or groups. There is a large amount of water and, as a result, prey in this area. Rivers and waterfalls are found throughout this area. These rivers branch out to all areas of the territory. The center is primarily trees and water. The entire south has less water but it is very mountainous and provides good protection and a place for look-outs. The areas that aren't these two places are open plains and are not recommended for playing in since enemies can easily spot you as well as human outsiders. Names of places as a review: Opal Falls (Dens), Opal Valley (Off-limits), Opal Mountains (Look-out posts), and Opal Plains (anywhere else basically).
R u l e s !
? Respect each other in the clan, especially those of high ranking. (This includes no harming each other.)
?We accept anyone of the canine or feline families. Meaning no mythical creatures or prey animals of any type.
?Opal Valley is off-limits. Those trying to interfere with the humans will be punished accordingly.
?All members are responsible for the young. They are our future. Without them, we are nothing.
?Harming a member in any way will not be tolerated.
?Punishment is only given out by the leader(s). At this time, that leader is Canicas.
?Be as active as you can. I know I personally cannot get on here every day but at least try and get on once a week unless you let me(Kasai) know otherwise.
?No drama. That respect rule is followed out of character as well. Please do not disrespect each other.
?Please no "sparkle" anything. Neon colors are okay to a point or in good taste. If your character looks like a rainbow threw up on it, I probably won't accept it.

?Be at least semi-literate. A "fail post" of two sentences is okay once in awhile but constantly provides little for people to respond to.

?(03/10/12) Canicas and Obi have reopened Opal Clan now that they have reestablished boundaries and have ensured proper dens have been set up.
?(03/18/12) Canicas has called the first clan meeting. [Rp has begun]
?(03/31/12) Rook, Isu, and Hazel have been sent to the mountains to investigate Junemarrow Pack.
?(04/07/12) Rook has been attacked by outsiders!
?(04/11/12) Rook has been found by Obi and Rook will be transported back to Opal Falls for recovery. The mountain group has been declared too small and too easy to attack for now and must return to Opal Falls.

It is currently early Fall which means humans are not likely to be seen in Opal Valley and have just packed up and left. The weather is getting cooler but it is not even close to winter weather.

Hey Kas, is there a big difference between Guards and Warriors? If I'm reading it correctly (which I'm probably not) Guards do border patrols/skirmishes and Warriors do planned attacks and defend against raids should the Guards fail to stop the threat at the border? Guards would likely see more action than Warriors right?

Yes, guards would see more action. They are more like the first line of defense against an attack. They kind of hold off enemies until the warriors can be gathered for the offensive attack. Once the warriors are ready they would go to defend the young or injured/ would be back-ups.
If the attacker is a single animal/small group the guards would only act on this. Warriors are normally only used in a battle situation/large group. I hope that clears it up. =)

A dark nose poked out of hiding, nostrils flaring to pick up the scent of a doe and fawn. Precariously placed paws made little sound as the young male moved out of cover. "Steady..." Dagger whispered. Rook inched forward eager to catch the small deer to prove once and for all he could care for the clan like everyone else. He bunched his muscles, preparing to lunge, while mentally calculating his attack. His quarry was blocked by a large tree but getting around that should only take one stride. Three strides before he could reach his target. But the doe would spot him early on, add two strides for lost ground, then he could snatch up the fawn and... The mother stepped into view, fawn at her head as she munched on the short grasses that grew near the tree. YES! He could almost taste his victory! "Wait..." Dagger said a moment before the small family whipped their heads toward him, blowing hot air through their noses in alarm. The doe stared him down for a split second before a familiar pelt flashed into view. She dashed away into the woods, leaving Rook and Dagger to stare at the limp fawn dangling from Bishop's jaws. "Great job son!" Rook could feel his hackles rising, he just couldn't take it anymore... he snapped, "You stole that!" Dagger and Bishop looked at him as if he'd just poisoned the entire camp and made off with all the food. "He did no such thing!" Dagger snarled, punctuating each stinging sentence with a step, "He hunted the fawn, he caught the fawn, and he's feeding the clan. What are YOU bringing home today? Hmm?" Rook couldn't help lowering his head, folding his ears back in submission. The larger male turned away, "You should try to be more like your brother, then you may have noticed him stalking those deer. Now," he said, turning back towards camp, "Let's tell the leader how well you did today." The pair walked off, leaving Rook to follow along behind without so much as a retort. He knew better than to argue, father always did like Bishop best.

Violet pointed ears perked at the sound of a different rustling in the grass. A young rabbit, completely obviously to the predator near by. The young lioness quickly dropped to crouch. when was it the last time she had eaten? Hunting...hadn't been going so well for her. Maybe this time would be different. She inched forward, violet paw over violet paw. " Just a little closer "

The sound broke the silence of the night, as a twig snapped under paw, and the rabbit quickly bounded off. Kiri attempted a chase, but by then it had run into its burrow.

Spy/Scout returns with news of _____ approaching, Guards rush in to attack, Scout tells the leader there's _____ approaching, Scout/Leader run to meet up with Guards, Guards/Leader/Scout fight _____, Healer patches up the wounds caused by ______, the end :)
I know it's entirely too general and fails epically but it incorporates everyone lol.

The golden sun lit the forested area of Opal Paradise as another day began. Within the last few days Canicas had restarted his old clan. Many lives were lost that day. Many had gone missing as well. Who had died and who remained missing was a mystery but he had gathered some guesses on that matter. The alpha emerged from his den and looked around the area. Spotting the light colored fur of the pack's only medic, Canicas walked over. The medic wasn't young, that was obvious, but that didn't mean he was weak. His blazing golden eyes were sharp and alert as he watched the clan with a stern gaze. Well, to them it may seem stern though it was common for the old wolf to look this way constantly. The gaze held to the members of Opal Clan quickly flashed over to Canicas. "Keep yer ears and tail up, kid, unless you want someone questionin' your authority," Obi growled in his usual gruff voice.
The alpha quickly straightened up and turned his soft blue eyes to the small clan. "We don't have that many," he stated.
He felt the eyes of his medic on him again. "Give it time to grow. They might not be our ol' clan but they have some promise," came the reply. "We should call a meetin'. Get everyone introduced to each other."
Canicas nodded and walked over to his den. Like the others it was a rock den though it was in the ground. It was more or less a hole with a slab of rock over it. He climbed on top of the rock and released a howl, calling the others to join him to his current location. Obi approached his leader and sat nearby. Until Canicas got to know the clan a bit better, Obi was the closest thing to an advisor.

((You know that ocelot marking in FH? Rook is black with something like that marking in dark purple... practically blends with the black. Still debating if he's got a white chest patch or not.))
Rook padded lightly around a den, nose working overtime as he tried to identify the odd scents that came from within. A fly buzzed around his head and he flicked his ear trying to rid himself of the irritating bug. The dark wolf peered into the medic's den but couldn't really make out anything. Flicking his ear, he turned his head towards the leader and medic. They seemed to be talking, but he was just out of range to hear. Obi's stern gazed seemed to fall on him for a moment. Perhaps he was looking at the den? Regardless, Rook flattened his ears and turned to find a comfy place to snooze. A mighty howl erupted from the leader. Must be important... Flicking an ear, Rook padded over with his head low, avoiding eye contact with Obi at all costs, and sat.

IsuThe sun slowly rose in the mist of a foggy morning. In a den, lowly and overgrown with brush but clear enough to recognize it as a rock formation, lay a feminine wolf known as Isu. Isu's side rose and fell, green and gold eyes closed but they looked like they searched for a way to awake. Only tan-grey eyelids covered their wonder.
The sun eventually rose enough to cast a ray of bright gold sunlight into the den. Isu stirred for a moment, limbs twitching but the she-wolf's body eventually calmed again. It was only when the voices of others woke her. Eyes snapped open. Limbs pushed a body up. Glazed eyes dashed around. A yawn emerged and echoed in the small den. Everything normal with a 'I-don't-want-to-get-up' waking. For a moment, Isu had forgotten where she was. Only the familiar scent of the forest, which she realized not even a millisecond later, reminded her that she was in a safe place. But was it truly to be safe? She stretched, rump in the air and paws grinding against the earthy floor; but it was more likewise to be called ground than floor.
A strong howl made Isu jump. "Who sounded that howl?" the she-wolf had thought to herself. Once again she had failed to remember, but she quickly corrected herself. "Right. Obi or Canicas. Whichever one is alpha." The thought came strong, and left Isu standing like a fool for a moment in wondering which one had the right to howl. She shook her head, trying to clear her mind. It didn't matter, atleast until you had to pay respect. The female trotted outside the den, clueless of where to go but nonetheless she had actually remembered where the howl had sounded. As soon as she approached the large, somewhat small, slab of rock she sat down on her rump and lowered her head, nose pointing directly to the earth, whichever direction the other side of the world is.

As the two wolves approached, Canicas's eyes rested on them. He looked over to Obi who was casting a glance to the male at his side who was avoiding his eyes. "I welcome you all to Opal Clan. As you can see, we have a lot of land but little members and I hope that will be changing soon. However, in the meantime, I should warn you that last season we discovered humans live to the north in Opal Valley. I now ban this clan from entering that area since the humans are the reason we must now rebuild." He then gave a small sigh and a warm smile. "Now that I have established that, I'd like to have us introduce ourselves. I'm Canicas, though you two are probably aware of that by now. I was raised to take over this pack some day but I have now stepped up to the position before I was supposed to. Obi will be my advisor for now since he has been in this clan so long-"
Obi narrowed his eyes a bit. "Yeah. I know I'm old," he growled. "That don't mean I ain't of use." He looked over to the other two. "I'm Obi. I'm your head medic and, at this point, your only one. No dumb moves to injure yerself or others and we'll be on good terms." It was obvious the old wolf wasn't one to offer personal information nor one to take any foolishness. He looked over to the two see who would speak up next.

The young male slowly lifted his head as Canicas spoke, warning them away from the humans in Opal Valley. Rook wasn't originally from Opal Clan, as his leader was, but rather from a pack well past the valley and he frowned slightly, thinking he'd never find any of his former pack if he wasn't allowed to go that way. It's not as if he would ever be able to find them on his own, he was too inexperienced to track them down or deal with a group of humans himself. He flicked his ear -stupid fly- focusing on his new leader's speech. Poor wolf couldn't stop himself from looking at Obi as he spoke and it took all his willpower to fight the need to roll into submission as the old wolf caught his gaze. He did, however, lower his head. Canicas may be the leader, but Obi's presence seemed to demand Rook's respect.
It took him a moment to notice they were waiting for someone to speak. "I-I'm..." Rook paused, trying to will his voice to be louder than a terrified whimper, "I'm Rook, f-from the Black Ridge pack, training to be a-a hunter. The pack is, or w-was, about four days north of the valley." He wasn't sure how much to tell. His old pack had always kept to themselves, but this clan needed to know what had happened. He tried to keep it thorough, yet brief and impersonal, "I don't believe there are many Black Ridge members left. The humans drove out the wolves there too. They laid traps and stole a large part of the pack, but we launched an attack during the night." Rook stared at the ground, momentarily lost in his own memories. His fur began to rise, "They abandoned their traps and raided our campsite. They killed most of my pack, my leader, in cold blood. Those who were left, we weren't fighters... We couldn't stop them. There were only a pawful of us alive when..." His voice was barely more than a whisper as he announced his shameful defeat, "I-I ran." Rook lifted his head, a new determination in his eyes as he declared himself to his leader, "Now I find myself here, with a new pack to defend. I will not make the same mistakes twice and I vow to become the best fighter I can be. I will not fail to protect my clan again."
((Wow... I only revised it a billion times and it only took -looks at clock- an hour and a half! holy cow... Rook's personality is still in development so if it seems like he flip flops a bit, that wasn't intentional. He's lost and submissive but eager to improve? I'm still not sure lol.))
((Edit: Unexpected... Going out of town tomorrow. Should be back by Saturday I think. We have to turn in our application for the apartment so we can move back to Arkansas. I will let you guys know when we get back!))

Obi looked over to Rook and smiled slightly, impressed by his last statement. If there were two things the wolf treasured most it was courage and commitment. Although Rook had abandoned his last pack, the fact that he was able to admit his faults and vow to better himself made a good impression on Obi. The old wolf and the leader then looked over to the only feline member of their clan who seemed to have an accent in her voice, something Obi could relate to as his words weren't always understood with his southern dialect. With both of the histories revealed it was obvious the two other wolves could relate, their loved ones being wiped out by humans as well. "Well, Rook and Shanhua, we welcome you to the clan. I'm very sorry to hear that no one from your pack or family were able to be here to provide you comfort but we'll do our best to be as much as a comfort to you as possible. If you need anyone to talk to, feel free to talk to either myself or Obi," he spoke, looking over to the medic who nodded his head in agreement.

The young female gave a little yawn as the howl woke her from her slumber. At first, the wolfess merely rolled over, not quite ready to end her nap yet. She lay there for a second, blinking as the realization that it might be something important hit her.She slowly uncurled from her little ball, crawling out into the open, making her way towards the low drone of voices.
She walked in as Rook was telling his story, though was only half paying attention. She plopped down on the soft grass, suppressing a yawn, looking at the others as they spoke, though her attention often wandered too the rustle of the leaves, the grass blowing in the wind,a squirrel darting up a tree. She had never quite been well known for having a good attention span. She didn't really tune in until Canicas spoke again. " Hrm, right, very sad." she said quickly, guessing that they had been sad tales from what the leader said. She lifted her head, stretching, before pushing herself into a siting position
" The names Hazel. I grew up in a Mountain Range a ways away from here." she explained " There's not much to say bout that really, I don't have a tragic story, my family is alive and well, it was rather peaceful where we lived/I honestly just wanted a change of pace, some excitement. So I left, wandered around for a little while and here I am. " The female shrugged, again losing focus as he stomach growled loudly. She wished she'd gone after that squirrel now.

Made it back from Arkansas alive! The construction on I-40 wasn't nearly as bad this time around... Our last trip down was HORRIBLE! The construction alone took 2 hours to get through. This time though, it was much easier, almost like there wasn't construction going on at all. It was nice!
Going to go see Hunger Games in a bit. I will try to post when I get home.

Isu
Isu had no intention of sharing her story; she didn't really want to but she had to share it anyway. As the others shared their' pasts, the wolf had turned her attention to a small bird that perched upon a branch in the nearby tree. The wind ruffled it's feathers and caused the bird, now dubbed 'Fluffy' to her, to fluff out the feathers before resting. Isu stared at it with green and golden eyes, before she even noticed it was her turn to share.
"I'm just going to get this over with. I'm Isu. I'm a wolf. Lalala. My family fell to some other entity than the humans. I would rather not go into detail, but this entity didn't really like the idea of so called "impure bloodlines". Whoever they were, they sounded like a bunch of rabid rabbits that feed themselves to bears. I have no idea where my family is now, even if they're still alive, but the past is the past and I have to move on with my life."
Isu felt stupid about sharing her story, compared to others. However, had she not shared it others would have pushed her, and she doesn't enjoy being pushed about. Otherwise she would have snapped and bolted, becoming a wanderer. Everything in this clan had to be perfect - just the way she sees it - or she will leave.

Canicas nodded to Hazel's words, deciding to ignore her rumbling stomach for now. He planned to send them on a hunt soon anyway. Isu's words, however, seemed to make Obi and Canicas uneasy. Obi made his discomfort more noticeable as his golden eyes was flashing over to Canicas while Isu spoke. Canicas finally met Obi's eyes when the female finished her story. "Isu's story brings up another topic I need to cover. While Obi was marking territory in the mountains, he has reported another pack just beyond the mountains. I'm unsure of their intentions but from the little we have gathered, we think them to be possibly hostile. I'm going to have two hunting parties set up now. Obi, Shanhua, and I will be hunting in Opal Plains. Isu, Rook, and Hazel will hunt on their way to the mountains. Dens have been set up there which will allow you three to stay there as you need. Isu, I need you to walk along their borders and find out whether this pack would make a good ally or if we should be thinking of them as an enemy. Rook and Hazel, I need you two to ensure Isu's safety and make sure this pack won't be attacking for our territory. Should there be any sign, and I do mean /any/ sign of an attack or hostile behavior, you are to howl to us and we will help. As far as I know, they aren't a large pack as of yet and may only have about our number of members. Just find out what they are and their priorities then you may return. If you can't find anything out within four days, you can return here and we'll just keep attentive to them. I wish you three luck." With that said, the leader hopped down from his perch and motioned for Obi and Shanhua to follow him to Opal Plains. Obi followed his leader, looking over to the three who were instructed to leave, expecting a negative reaction to the new leader's orders.

Maybe, instead of over the mountains, there could be a tunnel (perhaps an old human mine) going through the mountains? It'd prove a greater challenge to get through. <3

That could work! Your pack would probably be the first to use it since Canicas is so against human things right now. Obi and Canicas probably saw it but didn't investigate it since no humans were near it but it was clearly human technology. Maybe use it during a battle or something?

The young male nodded along where it seemed appropriate as the others spoke. His brow furrowed when Canicas issued him and Hazel to guard Isu. Would the two of them be able to hold ground should their mission come down to a fight? The dark male turned slightly to look at Hazel. He couldn't be much older than her, she couldn't be fully trained... HE wasn't trained! Surely the cat would be better suited for the task at hand? Rook sucked air, turning to protest the current groupings when he realized Canicas had already left his pedestal and was leading his group away.
Rook stood and shook out his pelt, flicking the fly away with his ear once more. "Well, I suppose we should go too" he said, his attention now on the females in his team. "Who wants to lead? And does anyone want to check out the mountain dens on the way up?" He flashed a smile, his tail swaying slightly "I'm curious how big they are."

Are the wolves over the mountain Faded? If you're low on members, I could play a random wolf to be killed off should our scouting mission end up in a fight, unless we aren't going to rp that far, then nevermind lol. I would apply for Faded but it's looking like I'm not going to have access to a computer when we move... at all. My old pc's power supply doesn't fit my mate's pc so we really don't have a computer right now and I've got no idea how long it will take us to save up for a new one. Honestly, we need two new computers but one will do. Needless to say, Rook will have to take a trip or be sent out on a mission or get seriously hurt and put on bed rest or something like that when I move. I move April 10th -_-'

Over the mountains is Faded/Junemarrow Pack. The basic idea is that Opal Clan is enemies with them because Junemarrow believes that clans are unorthodox and shouldn't exist because felines and canines together don't make sense. Maybe we could have the two parties hunt, the three wolves in the mountains (Rook, Isu, and Hazel) split up to investigate the pack after their hunt. A wolf from Junemarrow figures out that Rook is from a clan and attacks him and then we could have Rook out for a bit while you move? Isu and Hazel would probably need to call back to the other three in case there are more from the pack over there.
@iflatsoda: Need your say on this too since it's your pack =)

That would be fine with me. Seems I'm always needing a character tossed out of the way so I can move lol. In theory, I'll only have to move once more after this but that should be almost 2 years from now. We're going to try to save up and buy a house, then -rubs hands together and scowls- I'll NEVER have to move again! Mwuahahahaha! -wipes away mad drool- So yeah... Rook can get hurt, either by the future enemy or a bad run-in with a deer or boar.... or a swarm of bees. Broken leg, cracked ribs... maybe some sort of cool scaring? It'll teach him to be a man -shrugs- I'm up for whatever you guys want to do.

Maybe a concussion with some scars? That way he can be knocked out for a bit [I'll have Obi care for him] then he can wake up form his coma-ish thing when you come back? Irony, I was going to apply Bishop to Faded after we got internet :P And yes, concussion/coma thingy with scaring is fine by me. Actually... I did something similar with Boe (killing off most of my characters as well) when I moved once. He was out for 3 months or so... 3 months without internet is awful.

I've got almost 2 weeks before I leave. We could have gone to investigate, decided to have the guards take turns patrolling that border and Rook could be caught off guard by their own patrol/scouting party. Unless you guys don't think we could get it done before I leave, then we should probably continue with the rp we're on.

The three set off on a hunt soon, laying it wait until noon since that's when most of the prey would come for water. With the two wolves knowing the area well, it wasn't long before the three had a good pile from the hunt, each hunting somewhat individually but gathering the meat into a pile. They ate under the warm afternoon sun and then Canicas ordered for them to help with stocking the food den up. This would be used especially in the winter, when most of the prey was in hibernation or more difficult to find. It was early evening by the time that task was finished and now the three branched off to have their own space. Canicas sat on top of the hill that had the falls descending from it while Obi took a nap in the medic's den. With the few members in the clan, it was obvious the of wolf was still wary of attack especially because half of the clan was now away in possible enemy territory. His rigid sleeping posture and tense ears proved his distrust for his environment.
[tried to make a post for Shan, Obi, and Canicas without hijacking Moo's character. =P
I think we could get it done before you leave. We'll just assume Hazel is with your characters until Caty has the chance to reply. Maybe you guys can just do a half-efforted hunt (like mine above where just one of you says "there was a hunt. they got animals. blah" and then just go into the whole patrol thing that Russ just mentioned and all chaos will break loose. And no you're not being a hassle at all! I'm just trying to get the rp to shape around everyone's stuff going on. It's no problem at all ^^ and XD @ the name thing ]

Edited with a short post. I tried not to hijack characters apart from moving them to the mountain dens and sending them out to hunt. It wasn't a quiet trip... Rook talked and talked, not realizing the other wolves moved mindlessly along behind him and refused to respond to any of his chit-chat with anything more than "Ugh... Hrmm... -groan-". Now we know what a wolf zombie apocalypse would be like :)
And I wasn't sure if Junemarow would come through the tunnel or if we were going over the mountain???
Rook
The trio of wolves bounded away, stopping at the secluded den site to investigate. They agreed to hunt first, since none had eaten much of anything that morning. As they fanned out, each going their own way in search of smaller prey, Rook headed farther up the mountain. Upwind of a hare as he approached, Rook gave chase as it wove through the undergrowth, contorting himself into odd positions as he tried to snap at it under bushes and around trees. He wasn't quite sure how far he'd chased it when it darted down into a hole, but he made sure to take note of the area. Knowing where a family of bunnies lived could come in handy later on.
Rook padded slowly through the trees, trying to familiarize himself with the area, and soon came across scent markers left by Obi and Canicas, "Ah! Found the border. -sniff- And these are getting old..." The young wolf twisted his body, marking the tree as high up as he possibly could. The higher up he marked, the larger he may appear to trespassers. Marking several landmarks as he went, he finally came across another rabbit. This one didn't escape, and he picked it up to carry back to the mountain dens before realizing he'd spent most of the day out and about. Hopefully, Hazel and Isu could handle themselves while he was gone, but he was eager to get back and check on them to be sure. Rook had only taken a few steps when he stopped, eyes fixed on an odd hole within the mountainside. Curiosity got the better of him and Rook inched closer to investigate. He could feel the air being pulled through the tunnel, ruffling his fur the wrong way. No, he needed to get back to camp. Rook turned to leave, hoping to retrace his path through the woods.

[As far as I know, Junemarrow hasn't found that entrance yet, but that's up to iflatsoda -pokes with stick-. If Rook goes through the tunnel, it's very narrow, low, and confusing. I can actually say that because I've seen it XD Anyway, hope your family is doing better and I'll have my character from Junemarrow attack Rook if iflatsoda just wants to post for Isu? =) ]

The wolf seemed mindless as she stalked, senses overwhelmed by the far-off sound of rushing water and obnoxiously loud birds. Nonetheless, the sounds would mask her own mistakes if she had stepped on a twig. Not a few bear-lengths infront of her was a small fawn, scarcely able to walk without the comforting prescence of it's mother. Must be a stray... Isu had thought, pitiful, but she had to hunt and kill the... the.. incredibly ceeeeu- Get ahold of yourself, Isu! she had snapped to herself. To wander off into space in that moment would be utter humiliation and failure. The fawn wobbled on it's knees as it walked around, bleating for it's mother. The wolf would have to kill the deer- the sheep.
As her senses came clear she had picked up a doe's scent; the she-wolf had almost immediatly rolled in it. The wolf in sheep's clothing. Isu had thought, never knowing that she had thought more than she would have in a hunt. Nevertheless, the wolf crept closer to the fawn, wind blowing and ruffling her tail. The fawn turned in her direction, took a step forward, but quickly turned only to be snapped in the neck by a pair of sharp canines. Isu had claimed her prize - her sheep - and would bring it back for food.
As Isu carried - more heaved than carried - the fawn back to where Rook and Hazel had last dispersed, the she-wolf had noticed a small opening in the mountain. The wolf only increased in speed; You'll never know if it's a human mine, a fox den, or a bear den... and the wolf certainly did not want to tangle with a bear or human in this kind of situation. Even if she had tried to fight back, she would have lost anyway. Warm blood gushed between her gums. Perhaps she was hungry, yes, but the fresh-kill would serve a greater purpose in the future. Not even a few pawpads later she had returned to the location.

Following his own scent trail, the dark wolf padded back to the den site. The hare in his jaws swayed as he trotted along, it's rich flavor seeping into his mouth making him that much more eager to return to camp. Not only was he hungry, he was concerned he had left the females alone for too long. What if they ventured on without him? They could probably take care of themselves and he'd run to catch up, but he wasn't fond of the thought of botching his first clan mission. As he entered the camp, he spotted Isu with her fawn and made his way over to her. Rook laid down the rabbit and shook out his pelt, giving the air a quick sniff. "That's a nice catch" he grinned "Way better than this little hare." He prodded the bunny with a paw, it might have fed the cat back at the main camp, but it probably wouldn't fill up any of the wolves here by itself, and he knew they wouldn't be going back already. He sighed inwardly, his brother and father would have scolded him for such a tiny piece of fresh-kill. 'That wouldn't fill up a pup!!' He pushed the thought aside, they aren't here and he finally has a chance to make something of himself. Rook glanced around and tipped his head to the side "Hazel's not back yet?" It was more of a statement than a question, but he frowned, realizing they were short a member.
[The hare's plump but still small... not as terribly small as he thinks it is but it probably wouldn't make a wolf feel like it had eaten a whole cow. Still wasn't sure where I needed to be to get ambushed/attacked so I just came back.]

Being a delta of Junemarrow Pack was not very fulfilling for the female since their pack, as of now, only consisted of her alpha and her brother, Oki. It was no surprise to her that Oki would get a lower ranking seeing as he was always a wimp. Speaking of the omega... "Oki, get moving," she snarled under her breath. Her brother stumbled behind her, working his way to her side on the mountain's rocky surface. Oki had said earlier that he heard someone on the other side of the mountains. He had thought to keep the information to himself, especially with how much his sister had changed since the human attack that plagued their old clan, Opal Clan, but the thought that maybe their two other siblings or their parents may have survived the awful occurrence encouraged him to alert her anyway.
It was no longer held back by Akila that she openly despised their father, Obi. After all, he had abandoned them during the attack. Well, according to her anyway. Oki hadn't seen the head medic the entire time so he doubted their father would leave them to the humans."I'm comin'. I'm comin'," he whispered back, careful not to even think of growling at his moody sibling. Akila passed up the link between the two mountains that the pack had found, confusing her brother. "Wouldn't it be easier to take the human path, Akila," he asked cautiously.
The reply he received was given in a growl. "Yes. Of course it is." Before he could take a step towards the mines, she quickly finished, "But should we go to war with our previous clan, you really want them to know that it exists and links to us," she snarled. Oki's ear flattened. Go to war? Why would they go to war with them? Keeping quiet with thousands of questions buzzing in his brain, he followed his sister over the mountain tops. She was guiding him up tricky parts but he knew it was only to guide them away from the dens that existed on the other side. Akila was the only one who had actually stayed in the mountains periodically back in Opal Clan, but Oki watched the pups and cubs so his job never required him to venture so far. Akila, seeming to know the mountains like the back of her paw, descended from the peak. They were now on the mountain's ridges that were somewhat close to where the small group in the mountains now were. "Stay here. I'll howl if I need assistance," she ordered. Her brother was quick to agree. After all, he wasn't the best fighter by any means. The sand-colored wolf creeped closer to the pack, careful to stay down wind as she hid higher up the mountain, surveying them from a higher point. She watched and waited for one to be unwise enough to move away from the other.

Rook was talking to Isu, so I was going to let Flatsoda respond and/or move away before I left. Maybe she could go find Hazel or go ahead with her investigation while Rook looks for Hazel. Hazel must have caught something big or she would have been back to camp (-pokes Nitro-) Should I send Rook up the mountain? Maybe have him cross Akila and Oki's trail once he's away from camp?
And does Obi know Akila and Oki are alive and living in Junemarrow?

The dark colored wolf, strained his ears to listen for the sounds of their companion's return. After a moment, he turned to look at Isu. She must not have heard him mention Hazel. He glanced down at his catch, it would have to wait. The lack of the young wolf's presence make Rook's fur prickle. "Hazel should have been back by now. I'll go look for her." He padded out of camp, unknowingly running parallel with their watchers' trail, and called over his shoulder "I'll be back in a moment." He didn't bother to wait for a reply as he sped up to lope along a narrow trail.
Once he was a little ways from camp, he slowed his pace to a trot. Had Hazel been any closer to camp, she probably could have heard them talking... Well, she may have heard Rook. Isu seemed to be ignoring him. "She's probably just concentrating on the mission" He mumbled aloud to himself, "Or maybe she just doesn't like me. Maybe Hazel hates me too. Bet that's why she didn't come back to camp. She's avoiding me." He stopped walking and huffed, "Moody females..."
Rook flicked his ear, turning his head to look out into the forest. As if his paws had a mind of their own, he padded off the trail and into the undergrowth. It didn't take the young wolf long to stumble across the trail, literally. His paw hung on a well braced stick and, unable to free himself, he landed nose first in a bush. Unfamiliar scents clung to the foliage and Rook frowned at the bush, as if it should tell him who the scents belonged to. Keeping his back to the camp, he began to slowly follow the trail.
((If the Junemarrow duo made any noise, Rook didn't hear it. He's a little distracted, not even thinking the enemy could have been headed towards camp rather than away from it. Rook is such a bad guard -_-' Feel free to launch an attack at any time Kas.))

Akila lowered her head, her blue orbs following the male who was mumbling to himself about temperamental females. Walking through the rocky mountain as cautiously as possible, she followed him from a distance. She tried her best to hide herself since she would have more difficulties with camouflage in this area as opposed to her brother who's brown pelt blended much more nicely than her blonde fur. Akila's brow furrowed as she observed the male heading toward the forest. 'What is he doing,' she wondered and followed after him, closer to her sibling. She tensed as he sniffed a marked bush. Surely he would turn around? When he continued toward her brother, further down the trail, she frowned and her tail went high. Suppressing a snarl, she crouched low into the foliage, keeping a pace with him the best she could without making a large amount of noise. She passed him on the trail and, when he continued walking the trail, she lunged for his neck. If he wasn't going to be dead from a bite to the throat, she would do her best to make the male go unconscious. Despite how much noise the male made, her snarls were enough to drive her brother to them. He would probably make it into Rook's line of vision but Oki backed away. "Oki, get over here," his sister snarled, snapping at Rook who had hopefully sustained either a small contusion or enough blood loss to either be knocked out or disoriented. Oki stood back though, watching the scene with large eyes. It was apparent he was not a fighting wolf nor did he consider his sister capable of such strength.

Canicas glanced up from his place on the edge of the small lake to look over at Obi who was currently awake, standing near the medic den which was now shared by both him and a new member named Belle. The gold wolf was staring up at the mountains, the fur on his neck and back raised. "What's wrong, Obi," Canicas asked, standing up cautiously as he stared at Obi. "Somethin's not right... Don't know what. Just a bad feeling I 'spose," he mumbled under his breath, his eyes trained on the mountains in the distance. "I told them to howl if anything went wrong," Canicas reminded him to which the other only replied with a small, "Mhm," that sounded thoroughly unconvinced. "Should anything have gone wrong, you two have enough supplies, right?" Obi finally tore his gaze from the mountains to focus on his leader's words. "Dependin' on what it is. We have some leaves to reduce swelling, a different kind for blood loss, some plants for nausea, and some seeds for sleep but, like I said, it depends on what's wrong." There was obviously no doubt in Obi's mind that something had gone wrong but Canicas still held hope for his small mountain team. Obi moved from the alpha to approach Belle, the new medic. "Have ya had any experience as a medic before," he asked, curious as to how much training she would need.

Completely overwhelmed, the young wolf didn't even have a chance to gasp as something plowed into him, securing his throat in a mighty hold. His head hit the ground hard and the forest seemed to spin. Suddenly unable to breath, he lashed out with paws at his attacker, seeing nothing but blonde fur and the ground, blurring together while his ears rang. As the world began to darken, he caught a glimpse of a brown wolf as it backed away. Then all was still. Rook lay unconscious at his enemies feet...
((As if nearly getting strangled to death wasn't enough, he whacked his head pretty good as well. I'll post again just as soon as I get interwebs in my apartment!! Take good care of Rook, Obi and Belle!))

I'll be able to check the forum on my phone -waves crappy flip phone- but it takes half an hour just to find the thread and I doubt I could post with it. Sorry I haven't been on. I forgot to tell you that I'm going to spend my spring break with my family, including easter weekend. I am on my phone and I'm pulled over on the road, hence no color and center. I must go soon. When I get to the house, the family has a computer and I will use it. I'll get back to the house in about an hour, because I wanted to explore the state they live in. See you soon.
Also, I am going to shut down Faded/Junemarow because it has not recieved much attention and I have a different roleplay in mind. I'm sorry.

(Hey fellas, I'm back from Europe!
I was sposed' to be back on monday, but we had flight issues...
Anyway, seeing a situation, I'll pitch in and have Shanhua assist Rook.

Ears flickered foward as a strange feeling ached in her body.
Sh?nhu?, who'd been following Canicas and Obi by their orders, began to look around in agitation.
She could agree with Obi; something was going terribly wrong.
Sh?nhu? twisted her head to the path where Rook, Hazel, and Isu had gone. Unfamiliar scents, although very faint, began to fill her nose; and they didn't smell benevolent, either.
"We have strangers, Canicas Alpha. At Mountain Path..Don't think they are welcoming."
The sturdy mountain cat's strange speech was following by a deep, feline growl. There was trouble brewing, and for all she knew, the others could be in trouble.

Canicas frowned at this news and looked to Obi who moved forward to pick up the scents. They were familiar to him but he just couldn't place them, his mind too preoccupied right now on finding the three before nightfall. Canicas took the scents and led his clan now. "Let's go. We need to find them before nightfall, especially if one of them is injured." He then increased his pace towards the mountains to a fast jog, not wanting to just run and deplete everyone's energy. Obi barked at Belle, telling her to follow them as he joined Canicas on their journey into the mountains. By the time they would reach the mountains, however, the strangers were gone and had only left behind an unconscious Rook. Obi had taken Sh?nhu? on this trail and let Canicas and Belle take the other trail that would lead to Isu and Hazel. Obi let out a howl to Canicas telling him they found something and were returning to the dens. The medic turned back to the collapsed Rook then turned to Sh?nhu?. "Would you be able to carry him to the dens?" The old wolf, despite his strong personality wasn't suitable for carrying anyone. Canicas, in the meantime, was meeting up with Isu. "I'm having everyone return to the dens. It's become to risky for this group to stay up here," he informed her, his ears perking as he heard Obi's howl which only confirmed the suspicion of someone being hurt.

C'mon guys, this clan could be really successful, but only if you choose it to be.
I've seen too many groups be left in the dust because of inactivity. This one doesn't deserve to share that fate, either.
The only reason why I'm not replying in the roleplay is because I usually wait until atleast two or three people go before I make my next post. o3o
