A tutorial for Avatars and Signatures :) the steps for signature are close to bottom of tutorial.

Edit:

You can simply take a image and host it on a image hosting site like  Imgur Photobucket etc... get the image code for it and simply place it in your signature spot on ur profile editing. The tutorial above will show where to place the coding etc. For any url/img coding u can find it in this tutorial
