Help! the FH graphics look horrible! the main menu screen everything in the background the map is black and random screwed up color is flying across the screen the clouds are more like da vinci code style! everything looks all randomly dotted with colors! im using ubuntu linux with wine and this never happened til just now! HELP!!! what do I do!?? I never modified anything in the wine config! I just quit FH to restart it one day and it screwed up and wont go back to normal! and reinstalled deleted the wine config deleted the FH Folder and reinstalled but still same problem! i using the openGL option! WHAT'S GOING ON!?!?

Could you provide a screenshot of what it looks like?
Have you tried reinstalling completely? I mean getting rid of EVERYTHING for FH and then reinstalling? It may just be something wrong with the files.

Did you try switching to the Direct3D9 option, my dear?
Options>Video>Rendering Subsystem>Direct3D9.

No u have FH+ that making ur screen all black so u need to dowload http://feral-heart.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=23&Itemid=40 (http://feral-heart.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=23&Itemid=40) and then do FeralHeart Game Setup and then FeralHeart Patch and also i had that problem and now am great!! trust me

i cant even read the text in the main menu it's garbled and the buttons look like garbage i can't read anything so i dont know what im pressing and if i was able to press the direct3d option FH wouldn't even start up it would just crash and then ask me to change the rendering options D: I am using FH NOT FH+ everything is garbled and scrambled to bits i can't read a thing it looks like da vinci code garbledness or something there is no detail or real textures everything is a total garbled mess and IM SURE my graphics card meets the requierments cuz i been playing FH for MONTHS without a problem

Then yes, I would suggest deleting everything and just starting again. If it's a new issue and you'd been playing fine before.... I would just suggest clearing out everything and anything FH related and then just reinstalling.

that's what i already told you i did. I reinstalled my whole computer reformatted the entire hard drive and reinstalled ubuntu re downloaded FH and wine still same problem!

There's 2 ways you can change this setting.
How to fix it!
Either you start the game, go into the options menu, click the Video tab, and then change the rendering subsystem and restart the game.
Sometimes you aren't able to even enter the game, and all you can hear is the menu music, or it just crashes directly after launch. Those who experience this can enter the feralheart folder located in C:\FeralHeart at standard, find the file called "Ogre.cfg" and open it with wordpad.
This file works just as the ingame options menu, but instead of buttons and sliders, there's text.
What we're interested in is the top row

Set the top row text so it is just like in the picture with the text
Render System=Direct3D9 Rendering Subsystem
Save the file, and close it. Next time you run the game it should boot with the new settings you applied.
Even though this solves the graphical problems for most, there's still some unlucky ferals out there that the problems still remain for, but there's still 1 more thing you can try, and that is to update your graphic card drivers.
A computer is hardware, and with time it gets old just like any other thing in this world. If you had your computer for a while, and never updated the drivers, this might be the cause for FeralHeart not to work correctly. Installing Drivers for your computer is like installing any other program that it might need, though knowing how to do this might be tricky, so check the tutorial on how to Here! If you already tried this and it's not working, chances are that your computer is getting old and can't handle the game. Installing drivers might help, but you're still running the same hardware. Try the game on another computer instead.

wine doesn't support direct3D i've already tried that the game just closes before it even starts :( only openGL works... well.. used to work. now the game is all screwed up i can't read the in game text or menu items

I fixed it somehow i dont know what i pressed something with AMD control center or something but it's gone now everything works again :D :D :D
