Title: Mesh overload help please.
Post by: Heagato on April 03, 2012, 09:34:10 pm
Howdy, hows it going?

I have seemed to have aquired a good load of meshes over the month, and its crouding my files and taking up a lot of room in "my_objects" folder.

If i delete them from the "my_objects" folder, will the ones i have placed/used in maps in FH still be there?

Say, i downloaded a frog mesh at random. then i go into the FH map maker, name it, submit the mesh, and own collision. then procced to use it in a map, can i delete the foulder containing all the frog mesh info from "my_objects" folder without loosing the mesh in the game or maps?

iv i am being too vauge please let me know and ill explain further.

Or if i can create multiplue folders in "my_objects" folder to orgonaize if deleting wont work, or its too risky.
Thank you.

Deleting the my_objects folder with all the contained mesh's will remove them from any maps.

You can make multiple folders though but it involves adding it to a .cfg file.

Go to the Feralheart folder and scroll down until you see a file called "resources.cfg" and open it with Notepad.

Under [General] you might see something like this "FileSystem=media/objects/my_objects" copy and paste it underneath and put the name of the new folder next to "/my_objects".

So when changing it this is what it should now look like. "FileSystem=media/objects/my_objects/New Folder" or whatever the folder is called. Repeat these steps for each folder.

When saving it make sure to choose "Save" not "Save as" but "Save".
