Alright, so I just got done making a pretty awesome Desert Map and no it's not plain and boring, though it doesn't have a lot of plants and stuff since the climate in the Desert is so hot. x3 I hope to be adding a lot more stuff once I get people's opinions... so if you'd like to test the map! Please post and I'll send you the link! :D I also need map name ideas.... o_o

Looks cool! Try finding different translations for desert or desert related things. Name it after a character. Etc. Cloudly's not good with names.

For a name, try thinking of the feelings you want your desert to convey. For example, I have a desert map that is more focused on the long treks, hot sun, sandstorms, locust swarms, your basic 'deadly' desert. But seeing as that name has been used by a certain famous book, I chose to name mine 'Sorrows Beginning'. If your desert has a more uplifting feel, or perhaps a big focal point on the map <like your oasis> will help you decide. Pick out a few good words that describe your map, for example: Vast, parched, Dry, Sand, Cactus. Then try putting two of them together. Example: Vast Sands or Cactus Canyon. Just do a little brainstorming on words and you should have a fun name for it in no time. :)

Would you like to have my seamless version of that sand? It would make the map look a little nicer and you wont have all those definite lines in the sand.
