Title: Map Maker issue... again...
Post by: cherrytimebomb on May 14, 2012, 07:38:19 pm
Yeah.. I got the height map to work, but now, the highest points in the mapmaker cause TREMENDOUS lag when you face in that direction. How can I fix that? the waterfall also causes lag... please help me.. D:

Try switching rendering modes to Direct3D9. Windows users can use better.

Don't think so. My map right now is over 80,000 with a height of 4000. Could be some of the meshes. Make sure view distance and water reflect is set to minimum and off.

For sure its a mesh. Number one default mesh that lags my maps is The Flower bunch. Dont know why but if u put enough it lags my map hella hard

You will just have to reduce the number of meshes in that direction, too many objects often cause alot of lag ;|

Ah fixed it. Turned out that the flower shrubs and flower bunches, as well as the amount of oak trees was the problem.
