So, I just got the game downloaded today, logged in, and made a character, right? But, on the last page of the character creation screen, when I click okay, it says "creating" and will stay like that for hours.
I'm running Windows 7, just barely downloaded the game, tried creating a character several times now with this same problem.
Thanks to anyone who helps.

Could it possibly be a server problem? Try running FeralHeart on Direct3D9 instead of OpenGL. Do this by clicking options on the front screen and video then click rendering subsystem and change it. Windows likes Direct3D9 better. If this doesnt help post.

This does happen on occasion and it does generally go away, Try running the game as an administrator.

Generally this occurs when you're losing connection during character creation. Check your wireless connection, make sure you're close enough, full bars, etc. Not using any background programs.

Its a connection problem with the server.
During the character creation you dont get that "Failed to Connect to Front Server" message, so instead you get that forever loading message. Same thing happens to me, your internet connection and speed may need to be a bit stronger to connect properly.
As CloudFish has mentioned, check your internet connection.

Thanks guys. This all helped a lot. The connection seems better today, and I was able to finish creating my character, and thanks to Bloo for the other bit, because I had to use that as well when I tried opening the game again today. All running smoothly now. :)
