Erm, I tried to change my rendering system from Direct3D9 (or something like that) to OpenGL... and I can't start my game up. If I DO use Direct3D9, there's just a lot of stuff missing (like parts in the ground, makings on my characters, etc.)
I got the Windows 8 Release preview and, honestly, most of my other stuff works fine. I don't want to use the Direct3D9 because of the glitchyness, but I suppose I'll have to deal if I can't figure something out. ^^

May have to manually update some DirectX or C++. If you don't have the latest already.

I just updated the DirectX a day or two ago to see if that would help with another program. I'm not sure where to check for the C++, however.

C++ (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555)
Have you tried reinstalling the game itself?

When I log back onto my laptop I'll do that. For the moment, I removed the game and still have it on my desktop. My nerves are shot today because of a funeral, so I don't want to really bother with it too much now
