Title: You've propbably all seen this around 100 times before but...

I'm tring to make a map. Made the height and the mask. when I went into Map Maker to start making my map, and put in the file name of the height map, it crashes. But the mask is fine!

The height map is one layer grey scale, 513sq. So I don't know what's making it crash?

Any help appriciated! Thanks!

I have never had this problem but when you make the heightmap make sure it IS 513x513 and grayscale. Also make sure you save the file as a PNG and not .xcf(something like that from GIMP).

You could try flattening the image... Or changing the dimensions to 512x512. Also be sure that the file is png, it won't work otherwise. If none of those help, you could try making a new heightmap with a different name and see if that helps any. :3

Okie the thing might be it's not Grayscale or Maybe even the back part is wrong It must be saved as PNG So i think if you want you may send me the height map and i will fix it up and saved right, Then i'll try to work with the mask.

Problem solved. I think it was that I was merging the layers together, not flattening! Thanks for all your help! XD
