|| The Ring ||

"There's no escaping us. We're a chain."
"Our pride isn't a horror, just a way of life for us lions."

The Ring is a lion pride, which is very much like a chain. The name of the pride is not based off the horror movie, but because King Bahari tries to make it hard for you to leave the pride, unless you have a very good reason. If you don't understand why Bahari won't let you leave, read the history.

|| History ||

The Ring was created by the two lions, King Tanaka and Queen Mist. Tanaka made it a private pride, stating this,

"This pride will be made up of my family, but let the rogues and loners join if they agree to be loyal to the laws of The Ring. They will not leave unless there is a very good reason to."

Eventually, the territory for The Ring became a wasteland and they had to move, having to lose cubs and food by hyenas and other threats, until they came into another place. They lost all their cubs and there were just adults. To save the pride, all the adult lions had to reproduce.
However, The Ring is a very new pride and the leaders both died, and their son, Bahari, took over. They are trying not to face the terrible things they had when the territory was wasted and when they had to reproduce to save their own pride. The lions of The Ring try to make sure that the land will be fine so that they don't go through the journey like Tanaka and Mist did.

|| Ranks ||

- K I N G -

The King is a male lion who is the leader. He makes sure everything in the pride is under control. Also, if he has a mate, his mate is considered the Queen.

- Q U E E N -

The Queen is the female lion who is the leader and mate of the King. She has the same duty as the King, but she will most likely spend time with the females of the pride.

- S E C O N D - I N - C O M M A N D -

A second-in-command is like a deputy, so basically a second-in-command is like the King. When the Queen or King retires/dies, the second-in-command will be the leader, unless he/she does not have a mate.

- G U A R D S -

Guards are the protectors of the pride, and in rare cases, sometimes protectors of the members of the pride. The guards don't have to stay all day at the edge of the territory though, because the King can tell them to come to the territory.

- W A R R I O R S -

Warriors are pretty much very useful next to the ranks above and the healer and such. They hunt and fight and sometimes they will mark the borders. It sounds bad, but it will keep the pride living.

- S P I E S -

Spies are quick and light on their feet. They can be used in hunting and in battle, if they can find some place to hide.

- H E A L E R -

The healer is the healer of the pride, meaning that they heal sick and injured lions of the pride. They, as well as the elders, are respected for their wisdom.

- M E N T O R S -

Mentors are the  guards, warriors, spies, or healers of the pride that teach cubs over six months old to train them the skills of a  guard, warrior, spy, or healer. The cubs they teach are trainees. The second-in-command teaches cubs warrior skills. On rare occasions, the leaders can train a trainee, which is a huge honor.

- T R A I N E E S -

Trainees are cubs over six months old that are taught by their mentors the skills of the rank they chose; guard, warrior, spy, or healer.

- C U B S -

Cubs are lion cubs under the age of six months. They are not allowed to get out of the camp, and sometimes there will be punishments, but never death if they break a rule like leaving the camp.

- E L D E R S -

Elders are the oldest lions of the pride, known for their wisdom.

- L O N E R S -

Loners are lions that do not seek a pride, but they can if they want to. If they trespass on the territory of The Ring, they will be chased away or confronted.

- R O G U E S -

Rogues are like loners, only more hostile.

Bahari is very loving, kind, loyal, but strict. There are not many lions he goes out of his way to see and sometimes prefers to be alone, though he is in need of a mate so he can be a proper leader. He's not crazy for a mate, but he still leads the pride with no problem. He does not approve of cub-killing or anything.
Bahari's parents were the pride's previous leaders. That's how new the pride is. His parents died from old age. Bahari took the leader's place, considering that his parents left a special spot for him in the second-in-command rank. Also, he found two cubs roaming in the wild (Dmetri and Ivory) and put them into the pride.

No, no, no. Instead, role-play like this:
Jahaza walked to the watering hole and drank from the watering hole. Jahaza felt a pang of loneliness and raised her head to the night sky and let out a roar, hoping that whoever heard her roar would come to her.
(Yes, it is short, couldn't think of anything.)

[6.] Hate the character, not the role-player.
[7.] No massive mating details or blood and gore. If you are mating with someone (if you decided not to skip it), do not post it in local or general chat. Whisper it to your mate.

It was an unholy hour of the morning, about five or so.  The familiar roar of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle slice through the air like a hot knife through butter.  This bike was an ordinary style, except for the little custom tow-along trailer looking thing.  It looked like a passenger seat but the bike could tow it behind it instead of being awkward on the side.  It was a traditional smokey black color, but on the left side was a fiery purple phoenix with the letters 'TBR' under it.  On the right side was a fiery purple hurricane with the words 'Fiery Hurricane' under it.  It was a gorgeous bike, having been toting it's driver and passenger for many miles.

The wind felt good on the driver's face, the wind through what little hair was exposed from her helmet.  The young woman gave a soft smile when her dark midnight blue eyes caught sight of a town sign.  It welcomed her to Charming, California, 'Finally.' She thought as she sped past it.  It had been many days since she left Boston, Massachusetts when things with her father's motorcycle club went south.  With a handful of her things and beloved dog she took her father's Harley and skipped town.  She left only after making sure her mother and grandparents were safe.  The sun was beginning to rise now, she noticed, becoming a more holy hour to be awake.

"-Removed by Moderator-." She muttered as her bike spluttered and jerked.  She noticed there was a bit of smoke coming from it, cursing herself for having not stopped at the gas station a few miles back.  Though she could be thankful for where her vehicle finally stopped at.  Right in the middle of town near a small barber shop. "Just great." The young woman took her helmet off to reveal a head of jet black hair which she shook out to a nice fluff.  The bangs that usually covered her left eye, which were now tucked behind her ear, were dyed electric blue.  She wore a pair of black skater Vans that had black & white checkers on them, black ankle socks, a pair of dark blue jeans, a black t-shirt with a howling wolf on the front, and a charcoal gray hoodie with the sleeves rolled up over it.  Around her neck was a black leather nickel spike collar that had electric blue stitching and lambskin.  Just below her chin was a silver center ring with a multicolored bone shaped ID tag.  It had her first name etched in silver in Old English font; Rairukka.  She was called Rai for short, but also liked to be called Shepherd or Shep.

"We're here, bud." Rai said, glancing over her shoulder at the wagon behind her.  Upon being spoken to a large black male German Shepherd dog with tan points sat up with a great yawn.  Around his neck was a matching collar, but the ID tag on his collar said Tony.  He took in his surroundings, cocking his head a bit.  Rai got off the bike and let the dog out, letting him stretch his legs. "You stay where I can see you." She told the animal, who gave a bark in response as if he could understand her.  Rai knelt down next to the bike, trying to figure out what was wrong.  She checked the time on her phone, just a little past seven now.

Tony sniffed around the front door to the barber shop.  He looked through the glass door, wagging his tail slowly.  The dog moved away from the door and went sniffing at the next one, scratching at it in hopes someone would answer it.  He gave an excited bark when someone did. "Why hello there." A friendly looking middle aged woman greeted, holding out her hand for the animal to sniff.  Tony licked her hand, then glanced over at Rai.  He gave another bark which caused Rai to look up from what she was working on.  She immediately got off the ground and went over. "Hello." Rai greeted as friendly as she could, not exactly good with strangers. "Hello.  You have a beautiful dog." The woman replied. "Thank you.  Um, you wouldn't happen to know the nearest motorcycle shop in town would you?" She asked curiously. "The only one I can think of is Teller-Morrow a little ways from here.  Hang on I'll give them a call for you." She said before disappearing back into the candy shop. "Thank you." Rai said with a nod, then moved back over to her bike.  Tony padded back over as well, climbing into his little wagon and falling back asleep.  Rai smiled softly as she went over and sat on the edge, softly stroking Tony's fur as she awaited someone to come out and find out what was wrong with the bike.

It was a cool clear night upon the area, but Artemis did not release the earth of Apollo's dry air. The winds strengthened themselves, rustling up dust, small twigs, and other tiny particles that lie in its wake. The little bundles were furiously rushed about in all directions, as if it was the untamed heard, and the wind the trying herders. The lands had seen better days, those days being a year ago. It was once a lush paradise, a sanctuary for all. Beasts of Africa that could reach it were rewarded for their efforts with bountiful food and tranquility among the species, with the exception of predators hunting. It was almost in the blink of an eye that the little plot of heaven on earth was destroyed. Ironically by what the land craved in greed, a storm. Such a storm brought forth the earth's wishes, but with a dire consequence.
No creature knew exactly how it began or ended. With the red and scarlet storms above the lands, a flash engulfed the rumbling clouds, soon followed by a crack that made the unexpected flee for shelter. Remaining eyes watched as a bolt rammed into the earth, shaking the ground around it. It was as if Zeus himself stuck the earth. The last any creature recorded of the incident was a blazing, hungry flame that took too quickly the life of the land, and those too weak or slow to escape the licking, sinister flames.
Now, it was a dry land like the rest, brought down the an earthly appearance to be mocked by others, mourned upon by the surviving. Vegetation that tried to claim the fertile soil would only suffer a fate of starvation. The earth, having no learned its lesson, held a heavy thirst for water, as miniature cracks in the ground parted themselves open, gaping, toothless jaws begging the heavens for a single drop. It was always a cycle in itself. The skies would grant the earth its greatest desire, quenching the rock's thirst from billowing, dark clouds that was laden with water. When the earth was soaked, it would remain dormant and content until another drought cursed the lands, setting the earth to again beg for the terribly missed liquids. But it was final, things would not change.
A lone individual also wished, not for water, but for change. This creature, a lone lioness gazed into the skies, a glint of hope and sadness swirling within the golden pool of her iris. They made an effort not to blink, but failed under the taunt of the wind. The eyes drifted towards the ground, her head following. Her body, average in size, leaned against a sorry excuse of a barren, dead tree. The faraway, dreamy look was evident upon her face, a soft sigh escaping in the form of a light mist from her jaws.
"It's.. always the same.." a quiet voice whispered. Laced between her words was a soft, complimenting French accent. Such a blessing she hoarded to herself, to her it was something that was unique in a world without difference. She manipulated it to her bidding, to speak instead of engaging in action, to sing when lonesome or stressed, to bellow when frustrated. The female felt a chill of pride travel down her spine, causing her to purr aloud. It's okay to gloat once in a while, only when alone she believed. No one should have the authority to boast about one's skills. How foolish of an act! As soon as the pride came, it retreated from its origins, like a waves retracting back into the ocean.
"If only," the female murmured to herself. She slowly rose upon her toned legs, stretching the limbs that have carried her through relentless miles of traveling. Her eyes darted around the barren area before she gave in to the urge of scratching herself. Such a private action must be done with precaution - how would others view her if they saw her carelessly scratching an itch? It would only pass an acceptable gesture from a male. For females, she always believed they were the true wielders of proper etiquette.
With manners established come a clear, untainted mind and a divergence of issues. She did however dismiss her own rules to groom herself. It could not be helped, could it? Besides, no one.. was around? She shook the contradictions in her mind, running her tongue across her coat of her forepaws. At least she could have some sense of cleanliness now. But time was thinning, and chances of her venturing through her once home under the moon was bleak. Using the memories of the tragedy that fell upon the desolate lands, the feline ambled from the shelter of the charred tree, one of the last reminders of what used to be.

ok i went on it it said it was password protected
