If the title is confusing, just read on.... Actually, please read it either way. x3
I always think of how annoying it is to log into FeralHeart with a certain character, then when you get online the person(s) you are supposed to be roleplaying/hanging out with isn't even online. It may seem like a minor problem, but it would really help out the people who do experience this problem.
So, to solve this, I think there should be a list to one side of the screen in the character selection place that shows you which of your friends is online. Perhaps, to take it a step further, you would even be able to whisper them from there or find where they are by clicking their names and choosing (just like the friends' list in-game)
It could be an optional feature, and you could close it out anytime during Character selection, as well as open it back up. It wouldn't be showing while you made/edited a character, though.
I hope you like my idea! It's a little sloppy, but I think it makes sense. ^^

Love this idea. Think it'd prove useful in a manner of different ways; especially when you don't want to actually log onto the game and wait to connect to the map servers.

I love it too! It should be in Feralheart! Then I could say "Okay..it's not worth using THIS character right now"

This is a really good idea...
ALL the time I log onto this character in Flourite Plains, it takes forever to get on, and then no one in my group is on! This'll be very useful.

I think this is an amazing idea, especially for people with slower computers.
Think about it, imagine someone would try to log in and lose connection or something like that. So they would try again. And again. After 10 minutes, they would finally get in, only to find that none of their friends are on... :-\
I don't know about you, but if that would happen to me, I'd be REALLY annoyed... >:(
So I think it would be great to have a friends list where you can whisper and find your friends location...

So many times I've wished we had this feature... XD Nothing like waiting five or six bad tokens to get on only to find that no one's online.

This is a good idea. I have been through this problem quite a few times especially since I have so many characters and RPs I am a part of. It definately would be a help if this feature was applied to the game since it also allows you to see which of your friends is online faster instead of waiting through all the load screens... you know so you can avoid the stalker friends :-X

But what would also be cooler is like, if they showed which character they were on. I had a screenie I messed around with.

Along with which map you're on. Cuz if I don't play on a certain character for a long while, I forget which map they're in and then I have to go thru the hassle to see which map Im in.

Have to say I have wanted something like this for quite some time, But brilliant to see others would like to see it as well. And as most of you have stated it would be great to save logging onto a character for a certain RP only to see that those RP friends aren't online.

Yes but I also suggest this "friendlist" will show only the name of your friend's char because if it shows only his username(just like the normal friendlist),he might be on another char than the one you want to RP with.I hope you've understood what I meant right?

I like this idea. It is an easier way to see if someone you wanted to get on a certain character with is online and whether or not it's worth the hassle to get on and deal with bad tokens. :D
