Title: Map is not working!

Hi there, ok so I have a map and the download and sent it to some of my friends. Then when they test it, the map crashes on some parts. Like for example, one of my gates won't work, you can come in but then not come back out. Or for one of my friends, it doesn't even let him in at all. Now yes I do have custom music, sky, and weather and I'm not sure where to put them,I've heard so many things. Please respond back soon.

I had a problem with one of my maps where it would crash for others. Turns out it was the weather file that was making it crash. Maybe tell them to delete the weather file?
The .fhm, .fhw, .fhs, .fho files should all go into C:/Feralheart/Exports and if you have any custom terrain textures they go in C:/FeralHeart/Media/Terrains/Texures.

Thanks! Now let me ask you about the weather file, would that mean that they won't be able to see the custom weather? Also, I don't see Texures in Terrains

Yeah, they won't be able to see the weather. And it's in C:/FeralHeart/Media/Terrains, it should be under the temp folder.

Oh, sorry I'm stupid, what would the Map Textures be? Like if I had a map that I made with GIMP would that be it? I have 3 maps together so im not sure.

So for the maps: you need a heightmap (grayscale, 513 x 513, no alpha channel, one layer, .png) and a mask for the terrains. There are several good tutorials for heightmaps and the masks.

Ok well I have a Mask and a Map made from GIIMP, when I exported it I didn't see a Mask so would it just be the Grayscle Map?

lol Hello once again XP ya she is helpful, but hey so what if your not good with helping people with those two, your still awesome and helpful in most subjects. Seen your posts lol

Yeah follow those videos, that will help! The heightmap has to be grayscale and the mask will be color with Red, green and blue areas for the terrains for a basic 3 terrain map.

Thanks a ton you two :) I have been so mad for the past week trying to solve it on my own, and I PMed a few but, as wolffox said, she's not too good on the subject and other peoples posts were too complicated. Thanks again!

They do! :D But one person deletd the sky file and weather file....Ah well their loss lol

Yay! And oh well, the sky and weather are the least important files. The .fhm and .fho are the two file types that are crucial for the map to work. :)

Oh hiya XP didn't think you would read this, ya i posted this cause I'd hope someone here would help. Ok, ya I might have been over-papranoid about the whole sky thing XP
