Title: Map Making- saving

Okay, so I tried typing .png at the end of the name since I cant simply switch it to .png. When I try to save it, it says I cant save it there and I have to export something. What am I supposed to do?

Just 'export' it, this is usually what I do when that message comes up.

If you have a pasted layer, Make sure to anchor it otherwise that message will pop up.

In the new version on GIMP, you have to export in order to save in .png form etc.. And as Big skip says, make sure you anchor floating layers. Also, you gotta unselect the 'eye' icon for new layers if you gonna export masks etc or it will not work if the new layers are visible when you export to .png
