Title: Markings 2 different colours at same time?
Post by: SingleLady on August 12, 2012, 05:57:40 pm
Or Four! So you can be cool and rainbow like! or dark and scary! If you are newbies and dont know how to make presets? Forget about downloading and making one! Agree with me that you should have an option of making your markings have multy colours!

That does sounds creative, but then again that kind of gets rid of the whole idea around presets. It might also make the game have more glitches and such, so in my opinion, they should stick with the regular coloring system :)

I have always wanted them to do this. Sticking to one color for all the markings gets dull. Sure, people think it gets rid of the point of presets, but at least less people would be completely white (Im sorry, but I hate that. It looks out of place when your character is completely white because you have a custom) But yes, I agree.

I don't think that allowing the editor to be more flexible and letting us use multiple colors for our character etc would get rid of the point of presets because its not like we are allowing infinate editting ability. We would just be changing the coloring options of the editor a little. I do think we need a more flexible editor, it would add more variation possibly to peoples' characters in game but also help those few people who don't understand presets, arent to good at making presets, or just don't want to make presets. As BlaackeBeat said I can't stand those "Marshmellow" characters in game either... maybe this would help a bit with this too.
Btw Tillie someone already posted this topic not very long ago:

Try not to double post topics

I'm honestly all for this idea. Sometimes I want to use two different markings but I can't because you can only have one set of markings for the body, head, and tail. x3 A transparency option would also be cool!

I think you should be able to turn the head markings one color, and then the body markings and tail markings different colors if you wish, that way people's characters could be more detailed.

Ah, but you wouldn't have to do that if you had layers. Let's say there are four layers. You make the head marking one color in one layer, then go to layer two and make the body marking a different color. So all you really need is more layers. :o More markings, more colors. ^o^

Heh, I get it =P It'd be kind of like the map maker in a way. You'd have the markings and such, and then you go through and click that (1-2-3-4-5) button and you'd get to whatever part you wanted to color, and do it. But I could be getting this all wrong ^-^

This idea would work so well with the scar markings.... For example I have a character who is grey with black markings on his tail and face but for his body I want red/skin colored scars but they always end up having to be black because all markings have to be the same color  :-\.
