Title: Fatness, muscle, and a couple other things.
Post by: Milk and Cookiez on August 15, 2012, 12:06:02 am
Okay, some of these may or may not have been mentioned before. If everything here has been said, go ahead and delete. Dosen't hurt my feelings any, cause the ideas have been already thrown out there. xD

((Edited a little due to some of the posts below.))

~Cheek Tuft for wolves - For that extra fluffiness. I understand that you can customize your check settings, but they look a bit odd just being two pointy things sticking out of your face.~
~Cave maps - Just a couple thrown around in certain public maps, it'd be pretty cool. You wouldn't have to make them very big, but these'd make some kewl hangouts. Then again, lots of loading screens...~
~Fatness and Muscle - The weight bar on the customization. It should add to the checks, legs, and belly of the animal, not make them have a big chest ((Canine)) or be really muscley ((Feline)). There could be a second option called Muscle which made your character look more buff or less, though. For the felines you wouldn't have to change anything on that.
~Language Filter - This is kind of needed, since some people do not follow one of the rules. Most games have this, but to an extreme amount where you can barely talk. If this is ever added, please just block cursing, not 50% of everything in the dictionary. Have an option to where you can turn chat filter on / off so that something like Wolfquest doesn't happen.~

I like almost all of these ideas except for the language filter. I have always wondered why there were so little tufts especially for the canine models. There should be also a belly scruff similar to the belly scruff that Irish Setter dogs have. As for the cave maps I don't think that there should be a whole new map just for caves added into maps but more caves scattered around randomly. The fatness/muscles thing would be super awesome too because everytime I have tried to make a bigger powerful looking character it just ends up looking fat in the chest lol. The fatness could work well when you want to look thicker like a fluffy fur or for the RPs where females are having pups or cubs.
I do not like the language filter idea totally only because I don't want to see the chat become anything like Wolfquest... cause that is just ridiculous.

As for the cheek tuft for wolves, I'm not sure if that is really needed since the wolf model's cheeks can already be custom sized.
But for the muscle and fatness, I actually like that idea. You can change the weight of your character, but it always makes everything fat, like the chest and such. If fatness could just make certain parts fat, like the belly for instance, that would be pretty great. I also like the muscle idea, so you could have a strong-looking yet still small character.
But for the chat filter, if it's just for curse words it still doesn't make a difference. People could use alternate words that mean curse words and it would be Wolf Quest all over again.

Yeah, I was thinking about everything after I went to go look at other things, and Wolfquest's chat crossed my mind. That wouldn't be good. Perhaphs there could be an option to turn chat filter on / off? So the people who want to curse like sailors can do so and see their words if they want to. The wolf model's checks can already be customized, I know, though they look a bit strange, just being two pointy things sticking out of the sides of your face.

Ah yes! I know what you mean! The bigger you make the wolf cheeks the pointier they get. Actual fluffiness would be nice. <3

Everything you mentioned should definitly be considered being added.

The language filter is also a very good idea. Especially with the turn filter on / off idea.

Believe it's been stated before but I'll say it again

A filter will only intensify the "idea' that it is okay for members to curse, and they will then use ways to get around said filter. This is why the filter has not been implemented, but to more enforce the rules that cursing should not be allowed in the public chats.

I like you thinking but no language filters because language filter make me not want to play because I can't type what I want. The tuft idea ws pretty good because I have wondered why canines have so little tuft ideas.

I really agree on the language filter, because there are too many swearing users to report them all. --Plus most of them don't listen when you ask them to stop. And plus the language filter should only block swears in Local/General chat.

Cheek tuft for canine is a good idea, too. Might be more laggy, but a good idea.

Well, if they were to add caves they would have to close the map for a while and users might fight over them.

Fatness and Muscel is a good idea too. Because id you wanted a strong canine the chest would be too large and all.

Language filter has been discussed several times and it's not really wanted.

It gives a false impression to some users that it's "ok" to swear and disregard the rules. But also it limits users from expressing themselves one way or another making a big setback on one of the elements FH is currently about, which is talking and roleplaying.

As mentioned above, even if a filter existed users would find ways around it to make these curses. I can image how we could see "Don't like curses? Turn chat filter on!" as well, which is not really how it should be. Swearing is not allowed, it's against the rules, if caught you get in trouble for it, completely your own fault for not following the rules.

A language filter really would limit the game in general and would make more problems than it would sort out.
