Alright, so I downloaded a few item packs but I'm used to the .zip files so I don't know how to get .rar files in game, can someone give me the link to where i might find the answer? or tell how-to?

You will need WinRar http://www.win-rar.com/start.html?&L=0 (http://www.win-rar.com/start.html?&L=0) to ectract the file. Its like a .zip. I hope this helped you
