Title: Roleplay-- What's the difference?
Post by: Haruki on September 08, 2012, 05:29:57 am
So, n00b question here.

But under the roleplay section of the forum, in the general roleplay, there are two denominations I'm confused about: The "Groups" area and the "Advertisements" area.

What's the difference? xD Are they not both to advertise a group? And if not a group, advertise a roleplay... that's posted in the open roleplay section? When is it appropriate to use one or the other?

Thank you for clearing this up for me. I've been wondering for quite a while now. XD

The group child board is for groups to have their roleplays and organize their roleplays, such as rules for their roleplay, reminders, members of the groups, discussion regarding the roleplay group, overall communications.

Whilst the advertise board is to advertise already existing groups in FH getting members to join or have questions asked before by members interested in joining.

So say I have a group. Call it Catalina.

First I need it organized. I put it in the "Groups" board. It becomes organized and awesome.

I need to delete the thread and make another in the "advertisements" board? Because it's completely organized but needing members? Isn't organization entail the gaining of members?

No need to delete your group thread since that's where all the talking is meant to take place, there for you to take care of your group.

But the advertizing board is meant to get new members. Tis really simple and nu deletion required as long as you stick to 1 thread.

Group for organizing, advertising for advertising. xd
