Feral Heart

No map shows up when I login and use my character. I'm just getting a black map. I can use all the functions of my character, but I have no map. I may be missing something, but I'm not sure. Help?

Have you tried switching rendering systems? Sometimes it all shows under a black background if you use a incompatible one. Reinstall too - it will fix any missing files.

First off which FeralHeart did you download? Did you download FeralHeart or FeralHeart+? Definately try switching the rendering system the moment the game starts like Decessei mentioned or in game by clicking options in the game and then video settings and switch it to either OpenGL or Direct3D9. And well best thing to do when you have this kind of problem and changing the rendering system doesnt work is to try uninstalling and then reinstalling. Let us know if any of these suggestions work and if it doesn't let us know so we can try to figure out another solution for you. :)

All I can think about is either what Decessi said or what Lord Surahaga (I think thats how its spelled. .-.), or checking to make sure the map file was not moved.

Yurp. If the map file was moved though, reinstalling will fix that.

I installed FeralHeart+. I read the guide for this specific issue, uninstalled and reinstalled, but I'm still having the problem. I switched the rendering system, and it still doesn't work.

Ohhh. The dreaded Feralheart+ blackscreen. I forget what I did to fix this, because I had the same issue, I recommened checking the files.

Sometimes you get the FeralHeart+ black screen going on because you have to go back on to your regular FeralHeart and make sure the character you are trying to use is in Bonfire, Ficho, Fluorite etc... and has their home set to that position since the newer maps like Last Cave, Lonely Cave, Ascension, Skysrim, Atlantis, and the South Pole are not in FeralHeart+ so if you try to go to them or the character you are using is on one of those maps in the regular Feral Heart you'll load into the black world. Also I would recommend that you not use FeralHeart+ simply because it's not as well managed as the regular Feral Heart and it is very buggy and glitchy and will give you more of a headache than the regular version. Try to just stick to Feral Heart and it should run with little to no problems.

As Sura said, those maps aren't included with FeralHeart. You can try adding these files to C:\FeralHeart\media\terrains\fhmaps to compensate for some of the unincluded files...

Some terrain textures will be black. However, you should be able to access Ficho Tunnel, which leads to Bonfire. There, your normal FH+ experience will be restored.
