Okay so, I was making a map for my warrior cat RP, using a tutorial and stuff.
I made the Terrain Mask, and named it SecretsTerrain.png
But just in case, I made another file and called it SecretsTerrain.xcf (GIMP file)
Then I go and make the Mask, naming it SecretsMask.png
Then I make a folder for it naming that SecretsMap. But I go in-game, and it doesn't show up in my map box thingy so I X out about 3 times, and still nothing.
Then I don't even know what I did, but I must have done something, because now I click the Map Creator Button, and I get a window saying "Feralheart.exe has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem. None was found, please close program and try again."
WTF? It worked two seconds ago! What did I do wrong DX?
Can someone help me? DX I am very frusterated...

Well as I've said before I am not too familiar with map making related stuff but maybe this link might help you in some way since it goes over the most common reasons for crashing with map maker issues etc:

I really hope something there helps you ^_^ Goodluck.

If you made the folder in terrains... I believe the map creator automatically makes folders for your maps in the terrains folder. If you want it to read a mask properly, it should be on C:\FeralHeart\media\terrains, and not in any subfolder.
-
Oh... I'll try that then ;)
EDIT: I deleted the file, and copied and pasted the Terrain and Mask in the main folder, but it didn't work. It just crashed again... Maybe I just can't do maps x3

If your map-maker is crashing, try the following:
Make sure your heightmap is in grayscale
The images should be square, usually 513 by 513 pixels
Make sure alpha channel is turned off
Both images should only be one layer
They should be saved in terrains which is under media
Hope this helps!

I wonder, have you tried the 'magic fix', reinstalling?
-
The Map Maker has done this to me before. You must've done something wrong with it or you might've made too much maps. I suggest deleting a few or a lot then reinstalling/re-downloading FeralHeart or FeralHeart+.

I've made 2 maps xD

Then it may only be a virus on your game. Just try re-downloading then re-installing.
