It did for me! I shocked my teacher with my descriptive writing I learnt from the role-plays I did on Feral-Heart. :D
Here is something I made in the middle of class:
A Wolf's Chance
written by: Chase Louie
Ch. 1
I can't stay here. I have to run. They're all dead. Why us? Why did they choose us? What did we do? So many questions, very few answers. I watched my father be mauled by the other pack. My mom didn't die in battle, she died giving birth to me. I have to go now. Adrenaline ran through my body as I bolt from the pack. Tears fill my eyes and are carried in the wind as I run through the dense woods, maneuvering through the trees.
Running as far as I could go, the yelping of my pack faded away. I end up with scarred eyes and alone in this cold, dark forest. Some snow hares jumped out of the bushes surrounding me. I collapse to the ground making a crunching sound in the snow... I laid there looking at the trees ahead of me. My nose became wet and cold as falling snow melted on it.
I watched as the world around me faded away.

Yeah, I noticed that a few years back I became better at writing because of FeralHeart/Impressive Title role-plays. Reading helps a lot, too. :3

My english in writing is 10 times better, now i dare to try to talk in english even if im bad.
My english got even better than the average of my classmates.

I know from personal experience with Thierry that his English since joining is so much better. c:
The FeralHeart community in general as well as being on the staff team has made me more outgoing and positive in school. :) I've noticed it a lot.
-
It helped me for my Lower test on English and I get the grade :D.It helped at school with some words and generally in my life where I had to use english c:
-
I always pick up fancy words from fellow roleplayers, and they defiantly come in handy when I'm writing! ;D

Feral-Heart improved my literacy and Improved my imagination by a lot, my interest in story writing has alson been improved by this game.
Proud to be a member.

For me, Feral Heart improved my descriptive writing, spelling, and creativity. I was surprised by it actually, my English mark went up quite a bit. :)
They should have a class in English where you role-play in school XD
-
I struggled a lot with English, but since I've joined FH I've seen a dramatic improvement.
When I was at school and role-playing on FeralHeart, I felt comfortable partaking in mini-English competitions, and I always got the top prize. Luff it. :3
Adding onto Wolfie, before I was Home Educated, I struggled. A lot. But thinking of ma' good friends on FH always got me through the day, I am extremely grateful to those good members.

I have actually gotten better at improving boring paragraphs. I can type much faster, and my spelling is so much better. A big difference for me. We were working on improving paragraphs for fun one day, And I got the highest mark.
-
This is also how I got addicted at/to one fingered typing. XD

When I joined Feral Heart I was at the point in my education when I'd be leaving school in a year anyway, so I can't say it benefited me there. But I am a bit of a writer and write and post stuff on fanfiction as well as working on my own story, so it has helped me in that area. I've picked up one or two pieces of vocabulary I've never used before.
-
All of the above: And this is why FeralHeart is awesome.
-
Yeah it helps me with English class.I noticed I write better and faster :D
-
Feralheart improved my literacy by a ton. My spelling, grammer, and writing is better.
-
YEAH!!!!My english writing is now 10000000000 times better.... :D
-
I was reading these comments and they're mostly about improving with writing in the English language where normally others may struggle... That got me thinking: what if those trying to learn a different language, such as French, Spanish, Italian, etc, did the same thing everyone else did and RP with people that know that language and would be able to help them out? I don't know if it'd help with speaking it but writing it would be something at least, and it could work if it's helped everyone with English o2o

I can answer this post with a resounding YES.
Personally, I've always enjoyed writing. Although I haven't picked up a pencil to write a full story on my own time in a few years, I can say that my descriptive and emotive writing have improved dramatically since I've joined FeralHeart. Roleplay has taught me how to see characters and stories from many different viewpoints, as well as how to reply in correlation, and effectively, too.
I've met some amazing people on this game, particularly in the wolf roleplay I've run for a little over a year, now (Divided Skies, the RP passed to me by Starlitewolf and Wolffox<3). Especially in this RP, I believe they've taught me how to be much more social, and how to be a leader.
If anything, I think meeting and interacting with you guys has even helped me in real life, teaching me to keep my cool and be creative as the top commander in my school's marching band.
Fer srsleh. ^.^ For that, I really know what it is to respect and love my friendly fellow Ferals out here. <3
Just thought I'd put that out there; We've got a neat little treasure here in this community if you really look. c:

I'm not sure yet, as I haven't started writing in my English C course (one of the higher English classes at college in Sweden.) but I am quite sure that it's actually helped me. Specially seeing as I've learned a lot of new words and ways to use them since I started playing Feral Heart. Earlier, I was all right at writing in English, now I'm, in my opinion, a lot better.
Knowing where to use punctuation and what not was not my speciality back in the days. Now, I may not be the best at it either but I am surely a lot better at it. xD

Today I could not believe how well my story writing/telling was when I was just hanging around my friends. That, and we were laughing our backends off at a certain someone.
-
It is correct that FeralHeart has helped me with my literacy and grammar. My English teacher wishes for us as a homework to write ILLITERATE. I shook my head and strongly said no. I cannot and will not write, speak or type any way but literate.
-
I wrote a narritive about Feral Heart for Language Arts. So yes, it did help me. And my writing and typing has improved. :)

What is even more interesting is the community-made definitions of literate and illiterate.
One stated their teacher requested they do their homework 'illiterate', so one would assume she asked you not to do it all, seeing as illiterecy is the lack of ability to read or write.
On the topic though; haven't been in school for a few years, though can say that feral heart at least opened a creative outlet as far as roleplaying goes.

My English teacher, Mr.Powney was not happy that I didn't do the homework, how he wanted. Incorrect spelling, grammar, no sentence structure etc. FeralHeart has very much helped me with my English and grammar, it's helping me improve and in which I'm currently getting A's in my exams. c:

Not so much in school (I just recently got into it), but I have found that RP really helps me clarify certain aspects of my character's personalities.
-
Oh Feral Heart has definetly helped me! I read faster, type faster, and it definetly comes in handy on those spelling tests. I know more words than I would without Role Playing. Thank yewww Feral Heart!
-
It helped me a lot in my English. I got better spelling, I can type and write faster, Also read! The school also promoted me to be in the top English class!

Feral~Heart has helped me with story writing at school, it helps me think of more creative ways to write stories. I learn some of this stuff by joining RP's and watching them. 8)
