Title: Failed to Connect 10,000 Times
Post by: atrabilious on October 04, 2012, 03:16:44 pm
This has been going on since August, I have looked up threads, connections, fire-wall, plug-ins, reinstalling, uninstalling+waiting, and nothing is working D: I really want to get back to my roleplay, so I beg of you to help meh resolve this problem... I could play with the windows going and stuff before it started doing this, I think it is because a little pop-up said "Would you like to block FeralHeart from your computer?" I acccidentally pressed yes, because I don't care about those :P But it was a fire-wall message, so I went to unblock it, and check the boxes; Name, Public, and Home/???... There are 3 FeralHearts on my fire-wall, and I don't know what to do... It's confusing, and so annoying... The game is amazing, but the problems suck c:<

If there are 3 Feral-Hearts on your fire wall and It says FeralHeart.exe, FeralHeart.exe(2), FeralHeart.exe(3) delete (2) and (3) then try restarting your Pc. If that does not wrok, uninstall FH and try turning off your fire wall whilst downloading it again (Make sure you turn Fire wall back on after you've checked it works.)

Only pay attention to this if you are using Norton: Go onto the Norton fire wall and turn it off whilst you are downloading FH but if it works let the fire wall turn back on automaticlay by it's self.

If any of these don't help you please reply and I will find a way. :)

I hope this does work lovey. :3

McAfee says it's protecting my computer, but it still says it's not. And I went on the Fire-Wall after restarting, and deleting FH once more, now there are 6 of them :< I dunno how to turn the fire-wall off, there was a link in bold, to turn it off/on, but I couldn't click it. Aghahgsdagjts

For WindowsXP:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283673 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283673)

Protection gear will think FH carries virus's because it's an .exe file, but there have been no reported virus's from it.

Ohhh.... was McAfee already downloaded with your pc or did you download it along with another program... If you downloaded It with another program I think I'd know what to do. :)

And to turn off your fire wall you need to go to your Start Button>>Control panel>>System and Security>>Windows Fire wall.

You'll know what to do after that.

Oh well the McAFee just keeps you up to date with your pc, Things like if  there is a virus or something like that, so It shouldn't exactly stop FH from working. I'll do my best to help.
