Ok so I have been trying to convert an object for feralheart using blender...I opened the file but now I can't export it as a .mesh file.  I installed the ogre mesh exporter but it still won't work...Also how do I add a texture? I would love help ^.^

When you install the ogre mesh exporter, be sure to have python installed too.

I used to have this exporter and it works.

Note: try to explain more in detail what it is failing

I don't know a way to check if it is installed, but if you installed blender and you never installed python yourself, you can be almost sure isn't.

I need to know what exporter and what version of blender are you using since the exporter I mentioned works for Blender 2.49 with Python 2.6.8

And you can download python here, download it in the same version as you blender uses (you can see what version blender uses in the black screen at start-up):

I have version 2.64 for blender and I have no idea for what version of the exporter

I don't know any working mesh exporter for blender 2.64, what exporter are you trying to use?
The possible solution is to downgrade to 2.49

*Poofs in* I've been stalking this thread for a while now... Thierry, how do I install Python? I got it on my computer but it's a big bundle of files...

it is just one exe file, you may be downloading the sourcecode by error, but i gtg, no time to explain now

:O i did not know there was a working exporter for Blender 2.63. (going to test it)

?Neon_Kitty?: You just downloaded the source code instead of the binaries, that's why you got a bundle of files.
