Title: Noises.. Specially in libraries.

Okay, I am aware that this is utterly random and perhaps confusing.

I am currently sitting in the library at my college and keep noticing all the different noises.
Wherever I am in here, the woman who works in the library (the librarian) starts humming.
Now, with my ADD it makes it extremely difficult to concentrate.
It's the same with whisteling and whatever you could possibly do. (Yes, I despise when people whistle. It actually seems to hurt my ears. Skype = No whisteling. Causes me to cringe.)

Isn't libraries meant to be rather quiet?
Are other people experiencing the same things?
Would this annoy you too?
Am I being silly? o.o

I spend a lot of time in the library, and with it's location, there are a lot of loud people that cycle through.

It's right next to the primary school, so screaming kids tend to be the norm.

Libraries are a lot quieter with headphones.

This really bugged me when I was in Highschool, no one respected the library and over-all turned it into a playground. A lot of talking and shouting. Really put me off going in, but reading was one of the only things keeping me going.

Aye, there's a lot of noises going on at the college's library too.. The humming is perhaps the worst though. I can take people talking and such, actually, at least to an extent.

The funny thing is, the library has a note to be quiet in there. Yet. The lirbarian hums all day long. xD
