I know your problem dear, but this is what I usually do:
I delete the wrong file. (so you should delete the white one) or if that doesn't work, you'll have to uninstall the whole FH folder and download it again. ^^;

(Sorry if I don't make sense.)

Re-install the game. Delete every trace of Feral Heart and install it again.

Calm down hun, you can fix this.
Just run the FH installer and it will install the missing files. c:

Chances are that you are just missing some files...or possibly texture files too.
See the codes on the game have to depend on the texture items you out in there. Mabey when you downloaded the game file, you didn't get everything in there. Check your texture file to see if you are missing files, if not then go to your, computer software "add or remove" and uninstall the game, then re-install. If that doesn't work...then it's just your computer

Have you tried to just disable water reflections inside of  the options menu?

At least then if your game files isn't the problem, it should at least draw some simple texture as the surface, making it look a bit better.

But it could very well be that you must update your DirectX or even graphics card drivers if your never did such a thing and your computer has a few years on it's neck. Can always try to download this
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35)

But turning water reflections off might solve the white-ish problem.

When I come to think of it, I think you should RE-install, Maybe if it is possible on the computer, Get windows 7, Then Delete EVERY Spot of FH you see. Then you can also, Update your DirectX. Also, Maybe this isn't possible, But maybe your Graphics Card is very old and needs a update. So yeah...
