Alright, so far all attempts by me to modify the program with files not created within the game have failed. Music seems to be one of them.
However, I noticed that all of the FH music had 80kbps quality. I tried files with quality higher (128kbps) and lower (50kbps) and neither worked. Which got me wondering, do music files have to be exactly 80kbps, or is it a matter of matching the maps to the music (though both of them were .mp3 files, and if they are renamed to exactly the same name and have the same quality I would assume that the program should not be able to make out a difference, right?)
Anyway, any help on this matter would be appreciated.

Are you sure you followed these steps right? It should replace the original songs with no problem. I have never heard of any trouble relating to the kbps quality.
1. Find the song you want to use to replace the original song(s) in MP3 format and rename it to "title"
2. Go into the main FeralHeart folder to the Media folder and then the Music folder
3. Save the original mp3 file in the music folder that is called title either to your desktop or another location in your pc so you always have it in case you want it back.
4. Take your new mp3 file and replace it with the original "title" mp3. Make sure you renamed it title and paste it in the music folder.
5. restart your game
Hope this helps.

I was thinking hard about it, and I figured it out. You must replace *all* of the music files with *something*. If even one is not present (in my case, plains3), it won't work.
