Alright, so suppose I were to setup a structured RPG limited to a small party under the RPG section. If I were to give adequate notice of permissions beyond the usual forum rules (where X is allowed, but usually isn't), would that follow the same principle as in the game where you are allowed to do whatever you want, so long as it is on a private map, or is this one of those no-exception rules? Does it depend at all on the extent and the rule?

No, considering that unlike a private map the forum is accessible to anyone, it would be, I am sure, inadequate to have anything bypassing the rules laid out for the forum as a whole.

By that reasoning, then, I would assume that it is out of the question to have a link to another site where I would host such a game instead (since that is still accessible)? While I am disappointed since this is the community that would probably have the greatest interest and capability in assisting me in my idea, I suppose it isn't surprising, as you never know the age group on the other side. Oh well, anyone else know anything to the contrary?

I am satisfied that as long as you warn what you are linking to it would be fine. However posting it on the site itself, I believe, would not be allowed

While I am relieved to hear you say that, I am curious, what justification do you have for your answer?

because feral heart isn't responsible for outsourcing links. that's why the ads are sometimes what they are. some are faulty and give viruses. basically, you're only responsible for the information/ things you post here and on its ground breaking of rules. however, i am not a staff member, obviously, and while their rules can be floppy on how clear, i am making the best of what i can. so i suppose it may be best to wait, though i honestly do not see what would be wrong with it.
