I try to save my map after putting the png. in the mapmaker and it crashes. HELP:
-
Hmm. I have had this happen before. Are you sure that it is only one layer? If it's two it will crash. If that didn't work I don't know what will. :D
-
Make sure that you follow every step of the tutorials.
Height map (http://feral-heart.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=6&Itemid=11) and Terrain mask (http://feral-heart.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=7&Itemid=10)
-
I did that and it is one layer.
-
Odd. Like Reckless said, did you follow every step?
-
Make sure the height-map is greyscale and 513x513. If you have extra layers, you can choose to merge them when you save the file.
-
Did that.
-
Check if any of the layers is transparent. To do such, go to Layer > Transparency > Remove Alpha Channel.
-
Did that too.
-
Hm, perhaps you could send me the image via PM to see if I can make heads or tails of the issue?
-
Dessi, someone else just had me do the same thing o: I checked it, removed the alpha channel, but it still didn't work for them.
-
Oi, saw the thread. Hmm... Did it work for you?
-
Ya it did, i tested it out on my computer and it works perfectly, but it crashes for her.
-
Do any other heightmaps work for them? o-o And is it being placed in the right directory...
-
It keeps crashing for me D:
-
;^; Well, feel free to send one of us the heightmap.
And, are you placing it in media/terrains?
-
Yes Idid and when I go off the tab where you import the png. greyscale height map you made it crashes
-
Hm, I never got a message. Make sure you're typing in the name in the Heightmap space, not the Mask space.
-
IT WON'T WORK D:
-
As I suggested, maybe you could send me the heightmap. Although you should double-check the file's properties (image mode, etc.), in case one of them didn't save. It happens.
-
Well I checked it is a png image and it is in gray scale and that's about it.
-
Well, I honestly don't know what to say anymore. T'is hard to identify the problem without a copy of the heightmap, given that we've been trying to pinpoint the problem blindly here. Are you typing the name into the Terrain Mask blank or the one above it?
