Title: Please Help me with MAP MAKING! (Program)

I LOVE making maps, it's really fun for me but the program I used to make the HeightMap and Masks (GIMP) since I Update it stoped to work! ( I've tried to Uninstall and install again DON'T WORK the brushes still not appears for me D: ) so can anyone Tell me what other program I can use to make maps? :B PLEASE!!!
If you do this I whould let you be the first one to enter my maps! :B IDK If it's in the right section please move if it's not sorry abou that

You could get SAI or photoshop. Those are the softwares besides Gimp that I've got on my computer.

Though... Here (http://sixrevisions.com/graphics-design/10-excellent-open-source-and-free-alternatives-to-photoshop/) is a list with other, free programs you could find and use.
Hopefully one of them works for you.~

I have gimp, and I have not updated it at all. Try re-downloading a older version. Or you can do as Ressy said and get one of those programs.

  Well, you can try photoshop http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop&loc=en_us (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop&loc=en_us) until the 30 day free trial runs out and then paint tool sai http://www.systemax.jp/en/sai/ (http://www.systemax.jp/en/sai/) which is also a 30 day trial. Hooray! Also, if you don't like these or you already used the trial you could ask me any time to send you the old gimp which 100% works.
