Title: Gimp hates me!

Okay I was following Ruby directions, on how to make a background, but after I make the bubble, I get the paintbrush and tries to paint outside outside noting, but inside I can color it... What? That just mean im coloring the bubble in the inside...  :-\

There isn't supposed to be a bubble when you're done, just the border along your character, like this

Are you sure you're following my instructions exactly? I don't think I can make it any simpler..
Maybe try looking up a YouTube tutorial?

I did everything exactly, for an hour! And for the Canine.. Did you cut it out?

Well I'm not sure what to tell you, if you did everything exactly, it should be working.. I don't believe I missed anything.
And no, I just made the BG transparent.
