Title: Gimp 2.8.2 Question
Post by: WolfQueen on December 30, 2012, 12:22:42 am
I need help converting a GIMP file to a JPG file, because I am making a file with that present. I tried changing the ending, but it said that it really couldn't transfer it to a jpg file.

Just to make sure, is there any way to convert it to the file that I need to make a present?

Go to File>>Export and when you save it you should be able to name it presetsomething.jpg.

Yeah, I had problems with this, also! But you're supposed to export it, not save it :)

Ok, don't lock. I accidently did something wrong with something.

I saved the present with the UV map. Now it's stuck on the picture. Is there any way to get rid of it? I can't remove it from the layers, because it's stuck on there.

I spent allot of time on it, and I don't want to throw it all away. :/

HAJONEAONVF I exported it with the UV map on, just to tell you. Redo doesn't do anything.

I don't think you can get it off if the layers have merged >.< It's became part of the picture... But for future reference, you can go into the materials file and change the jpg to png to have a nicer looking preset.

Ok that's alright. I'm finishing the present, and it's pretty basic. But the hard part is that I am using the touch pad on my laptop's keyboard. But it's turning out cool. Thanks for the advice too!

This can be locked now. :3
