Title: PvP Player vs Player OR Predator vs Prey!!
Post by: littlefoxchild on February 25, 2011, 06:10:04 am: I don't know why i did't think of this before but it would be cool if we could also be Prey as well. Everyone is a lion, or tiger or whatever but i would also like to be a Deer or Gazelle,Zebra, Iampala,or wildebeest. That way we can give other something to hunt and the prey trying to stay alive.
Sounds like fun to me!

Like if you are a Predator you can see the nametage of every predator you see or meet but you can't see the nametag of a Prey. and the same for prey. That way hunting is much more enjoyable and running for your life is just as fun.

I think this idea will add a bit more real in to the game as well as the thrill of the hunt, the chase, and the victory of living to see another day or the victory of the hunt to feed your Pack or Pride or yourself.

Also Elk, Moose, and Caribou are also great prey to play as.

I say just adding hunting would be good, but if FH minigames (What..) were ever added, this would be pretty fun.

I, Predator is an awful sad excuse for a game series that shoves dozens of lengthy stupid advertisements down your throat while you wait to play a game that's been surpassed in quality by an 8 year old using Game maker 5

And the most laughable part is how serious these developers take themselves on the videos.

PLEASE STOP SWAREING it makes me uncomfterble.

And, I like the idea of being prey, its sounds fun.

1. The prey wouldn't be any online players it would just be computerized.
2. If we could be prey it would get annoying to be dying all the time, so yeah the idea above might help.
3. Since you have Predator vs. Predator in you tittle you should have it somewhere in your first post. -.-

Um and I'm not so fond of the nametag thing... I mean I would like to be able to see where other animals are or else it would be pointless hunting if you can't find anything.

I'm probably bringing up and old topic here.

However, although I have probably already stated my opinion, I agree with this. Even if you don't have to hunt and don't have to be prey, would you want to be the ten-year kid who watched someone else be killed and eaten??

I actually enjoy playing as 'prey animals' myself. I have a fallow deer character, a caribou character, a jackrabbit character, and I used to have an elk character (those item packs really come in handy).

I do see your point, though. While I'm personally not bothered by the powerplayers and 'deer-killers', other players, especially the younger ones, probably would be. However, like Bouquet said, nobody is forcing anyone to play as a deer or a horse. Those who aren't bothered will enjoy playing as something other than a feline or canine, and those who are genuinely bothered can keep playing as a canine or feline.

I doubt new animals will be added to the game for a while though, judging by how busy Kov's schedule seems to be.

Just like in IT, they could have solo hunting, And on the multiplayer.

Idea 1.-:- Some maps are for hunting, some aren't. If someone goes hunting in a non hunting map, MODs will see what the punishment is. However, if you make a private map you can choose if it's non hunting or hunting, and hope people obey the rules. If they don't, sorry.-:

Idea 2.-: A character creator that makes predators/prey, Predators/prey can affect each other, not normal players. If they do affect them, it's RP. Or chat.

Idea 3.-: If someone makes a private map, (Or a major person makes a public one for all of FH) when it is in the making, you tick a box like the no flying one. So if you enter the map with a prey/predator char, you get a box saying "No hunting is allowed in this map, please select another character." And you get booted. You have to log onto another character that isn't of the prey/predator genre. "What about the chat that you had..?" It stays there if you don't close FH, you know. Look for yourself.

Idea 4.-: Similar to idea 3, tick a box and NCP prey will not spawn in that map.
