Title: How do I get my map in map maker to have mountains, hills, etc.

I need to know ho to get mountains and hills in my map, please provide an easy step list please!

I got to the terrain mask thing and I gave up! :( It's too confusing!!! I just want someone to make it for me!

The terrain mask is much simpler than it looks, just think of it as the game's coloring page. Color your map red,green, and blue then save it under a different name then your done. (make sure it's saved in your terrains folder.)

In map maker:

Red= one terrain texture

Green = another terrain texture

Blue = a mix of the textures you already used

Here you go, i'm not sure what colors you wanted where but i guess it's good enough:

There is a lot of stuff up with your heightmap though:

1.It's much bigger than 513x513

2.it's JPG instead of PNG (not sure if that matters but it might)

Save it in your terrains folder then go to map maker in FH. Now just type in the name of the terrain mask where it's supposed to go. (make sure to include the .png at the end)

I put VarkosLamaros.png in both Terrain Height Map thing and Alpha Map thing and the ground is all map and flat

(don't mind the black background, it's just an example, it won't look like this on your screen xD)

Make sure your Heightmap is 513x513 and you typed the EXACT name as it is in your terrains folder

When I do that, there is nothing there, not even ground!

But do you have them? If not i'll probably just have to make you a simple hieghtmap and terrains mask real quick because I have to go somewhere soon.

After you put them in the terrains folder open FH and go to map maker. Now just type in the names of the heightmap and mask under the "world" tab, so:

Whatever you named the height map when you saved it would be typed in where it says "Terrain Height Map" and whatever you named the terrain mask as would be typed in where it says "Terrain Alpha Map"

~Example~

Terrain Height Map:
Whatever you named your height map.png

Terrain Alpha Map:
Whatever you named your terrain mask.png
