Yes, this happens to me too. It's because FH isn't familiar with the characters you press, which makes it crash.
I only know of one way, plug in a keyboard that doesn't have said letters/symbols.
Or just try not to press them.

Unfortunately the only keyboard that works for mac is my wireless one, thank you for the info though.
