Title: Mouse direction control
Post by: Kriptess on January 03, 2013, 08:25:05 pm
I've been having troubles controling my character.  Last time I played, I was able to direct my cat by holding and moving my right mouse button as I ran.  Now, I have to use the wads keys.  I don't remember touching any of the game options.

Any suggestions to fix this so I can use the mouse again?

You probably hit right Ctrl by accident.  Press it again to fix.

That's not working.  No matter what I do, holding control just makes me crouch.

You can press 'Q' to run.

'W,S,A,D' to move character around.

'Alt' to stop or free Character's head.

'Alt' to stop or free Character's head.

I know how to do that, but it's the manual control via the mouse that isn't working for some reason.

You can press 'Ecs' and click 'Options' and edit it.

I reset the options already.  Originally it worked when I was in the game the first time, so reseting I thought would put it back that way. It didn't... oddly enough.

Mysterious.. Maybe Reset Character? First login into the golden box.. After you did that, it would say 'Character Reset'

What does reset character even do?

Character Reset is to stop crashing or problems from your Character.

Adding onto Thrillex, Character reset places your chosen character in it's set home, so when you go online, you're where you last saved it as 'home'.

That's not working.  No matter what I do, holding control just makes me crouch.
No, the RIGHT control.  On the other side of the keyboard.

There's a difference?

Wrong ctrl, there is one beside the arrow keys, that's the one you hit.
