However, the quality there is not very good and the image is quite blurry :/

Lovely :3! I like your character very much.  It reminds me of the hill on Bonfire :) Very warm pretty scene and colors and it looks quite festive back there in the village. Goodluck with the contest.

I totally agree with LordSuragaha :3 very cool char and i love the town and the fire works. Also, the cherry tree hanging off the cliff is like....awesome. Good luck in the contest and great drawing idea!!
