Hello, how can you get the camera to move with your character? For example, if my character moves right, the camera would move with it. I have done this before but I can't seem to figure out how to do it again. Please help.

Not exactly sure if this would help but you could try clicking the "esc" key on your keyboard while in game and when the small menu pops up click under "interface" go to where it says "Running Mode" and you can test how your character moves with relative mode checked or unchecked.

I do this by holding down the W button and using the arrow keys to steer my character, that way the camera will always be behind my character when I run.

Yes, I have tried this a few times before and it was the same both checked and un-checked :\

Have you also tried the different camera modes:
F1: Set Camera First person view
F2: Set Camera Third person view
F3: Set Camera Free Look
F4: Set Camera Third person view (Chase)
I don't know much other ways to change the camera view aside from this sorry

F3 to zoom into your character and circle around it.
F2 to zoom out, and go back to normal.

The closest you could probably get to that camera function is when you get in-game, press right 'ctrl'.
This will make your character face immediately in the corresponding direction of the button you press (this is using W, A, S, and D). In this mode you can also press W to run forward, and use the arrow keys to steer (as Ingredient mentioned).
You may like this a bit better, but it's the closest one can get to keeping the camera fixed to the direction your character runs. It just takes a while to learn how to operate the camera perspective and running keys at once.
