Post by: Chimaera on January 10, 2013, 04:43:29 pm: I just wanted to let all of you animal lovers out there know that i'm currently working extremely hard to make my own game.

I am a semi-professional programmer/ coder. So, since last year, i have been working on a MMO game.

The game is called Bears Of The Forest. It is similar to WolfQuest in the graphics, and similar to FH in the content.

The game will include.

*Fully Customizable charcters (Bears)
*Different species of bears to start out as.
*Chat box
*Groups
*Seasons and Time of day.
*Lunar Phases
*Ability to hunt prey, and start a family.
*Ability to change the age of your character.
*Genders (Maybe. If some people aren't so immature about it.)
* Actions, such as Roar, stand on hind legs, scratch, lay down, and snarl.
*Friends
*You can change fur length, fur texture, and height.

Bear species include;

Grizzly
American Black Bear
Sloth Bear
Sun Bear
Spectacled Bear
Polar Bear
Kodiak Bear

Admins: None

I really dont know if i should go through with this game or not. Please comment your opinion.

Yes, i am making TONS of different environments; A polar region, a pine forest, oak forest, hilly land, and a mountain region.

If all you floofs would enjoy it, i am thinking about making a zoo area too.

*Ability to go into other animals cages
*Tons of new animals!
*Dens, food, and zookeepers.
* Animals are: Flamingo, Seal, bear, lion, elephant, rhino.

Sorry about the shortage of animals, its really hard to make them, and their movements.

That would be awesome if you would make a forum for it. And, i'll put some screenies up later when i start on the characters and environment.

Sure! I totally forgot about the pandas. The red panda would be a little harder, they are just a totally different size and colour, so it would take a while

And a red panda is more like a raccoon, not a bear. It could maybe be a side animal you could unlock maybe?

There isn't a website at the moment, I don't think so anyway. I made one ages ago but there is no activity going on. I don't know if it's even an official website/forum. Take your time to look at it but I wouldn't bother making an account.

You should finish it, I see how talented you truly are now by going through all this sturf.

I do hope you will make it where we have the ability to bite scratch and fight other players and not just prey. This way people can actually fight for territory, alpha status, or whatever. Don't do a fight 'simulation' though like Wolf quest. That fight simulator stunk. You didn't really have control over who won. But yeah, I'd definitely play it!
