Title: Map maker - Terrain crashed [solved]
Post by: TN-King18 on January 23, 2013, 01:43:05 pm
Hi there.
I stopped believing in my brain today.
My Problem:
Everytime I try to load my new terrain (513x513, Grayscale, PNG) in the Map maker, FeralHeart closes itsself without comment. No error message. Nothing. The window just disappears.
I did nearly nothing different to my other terrains for FH. Just that this had more than 1 layer, and was put in 1 while saving. I re-loaded it on GIMP and saved it again with a new name. Same problem.

I dont know any solution...

Make sure it doesn't have an alpha channel, check your layers box.

Sorry for the idiotic question, but what the ... is an alpha channel O.O ?

Open your image with your GIMP, make sure the layers box is showing. Right click your image in the layers box and find the option to "remove alpha channel".

dont think that would be the case. height maps are just greyscale lines. its probably the alpha channel, once its removed, it'll work fine.
