Title: Hidden Maps
Post by: Ciaio on January 23, 2013, 11:18:52 pm
I've been looking at the map list on the right side of the screen, and I can't figure out what the maps TheShards, ANewRise, Homestuck, etc. are.  Could someone please tell me how to find these maps?  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ciaio

Some of those Maps are private, meaning their for RPs or things of the sort like that. The only way to get them is by downloading them. There are also public Maps posted on the forum for people to use and download.

The Maps that were originally installed on FeralHeart are:
-Fluorite Plains
-Cape of Worlds
-LastCave
-Temple of Dreams
-Bonfire Island
-Ficho Tunnel
-Lonely Cave
-South Pole
-Ascension Island
-Atlantis

I know that some of the maps need to be downloaded; what I was saying was that I couldn't find the ones I was looking for, even though I searched for them on the Map forums.  Any suggestions?

Not all of them are public, meaning that some maps are created specificly for one RP or group and they don't give out the link to anyone but their group members.

Most of the maps you see that aren't from FH itself belong to rps. Granted a few are public, but the majority, nay. Thus, you have to join said rp before you're permitted to download their map. The owners worked hard to have a place for their group, and them alone, and don't make the maps publicly downloadable.

Right now there's a map called ElderCircle up on the bar. I'm in the group it belongs to. They have a website which they put the link on, so that it'd be hidden. Sometimes, though, groups will put the link in either the leader's or group's bio, in which case if I'm going to join, I'll usually download it in advance.
