Title: How to make a customized FH skin?
Post by: dinoanc on February 01, 2013, 02:14:13 am
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I can never tell. :I

I searched all over for a tutorial, but never came across one. x'D I have downloaded customized FH skin's before, but I've always wondered how to make one. So, I was hoping one of you people would be able to help me. xD

Example of what I'm talking about: http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=&section=&global=1&q=feralheart+skin#/d5dch1b (http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=&section=&global=1&q=feralheart+skin#/d5dch1b)

In order to make a custom skin, you'll have to find the correct files in 'FeralHeart>media>textures'.

They sort of resemble the current skin; you know, the same buttons, chat-box interface, etc. .

After you find these, you can kind of just edit around with them in whatever program you use.

If you go to your Feralheart>>Media>>Textures folder you will find images like buttonAction.png, buttonInfo.png, miniMapMarker.png etc It would be a good idea to have a program like GIMP or Photoshop when editing the images since you can change the layers to "Overlay" or "Multiply". When using those options on a new layer you can pretty much colour in the image without going outside the actual shape and the "patterns" will still be there but in a different colour :)

I hope that all makes sense xD
