What Twilia said. But, I think we could use a bit more. Like, a full leg-sock, or like the Toeless Socks but with a stripe.. Idk what I'm saying. xD

A full sock pattern would be nice. Maybe like the Siamese pattern. :3 Except without the color on the back too.

Kovu has already said no to wings. And also Saleana...... adding wings to the model makes it unrealistic, no? You kind of contradicted yourself there :S
However, I certainly wouldn't mind seeing just a toe marking, or a full leg marking.

There are two sock markings in the game, if you guys wanted more you should have stated it when we had polls up on the DA group.

We have full socks, but you guys never wanted more variation when we were asking what markings you wanted in the game. That was well over two or three months ago, I see little point in complaining now.

Nala, I don't mean to sound rude, but not everyone checks the DA posts religiously. I sure don't. I never knew about these polls. Why make such a fuss over someone suggesting some additional sock markings? Are new markings not going to be made any more? I'd say any and all suggestions should be fine, even if they weren't suggested on this poll months ago. Isn't that what a suggestions/opinions forum is for?
I don't see why anyone's suggestions should be shot down just because the suggestion wasn't mentioned on this poll of yours. Like I said, not everyone goes to DA all the time, and also think about new members who've shown up ages after this poll was closed, and never had a chance to speak their minds. The entire markings content of the game shouldn't have to have been dependent on one lone poll.

Not everyone can make a preset, Slycan.
Why does every one expect other peeps to have the knowledge to make maps or presets? Seen this over and over..and quite frankly it's getting very annoying and tedious.

because there's 50 + video tutorials on youtube
plus 2 premade 'color me now' versions on my DA and the official FH DeviantArt
and a forum full of people that know how to make them and will be glad to help with them..
+ the Handbook on this website.

It wasn't just posted on the DA group, it was on IH *Kahara's forums*, and OIT *Stacey's forums*. Plus some of us had a lot of time on there hands, our first priority were realistic markings. New markings can be made, but it takes time depending on what others like. Give us time.

Well.. there are people trying to suggest marking ideas and you're shooting them down simply because they 'didn't vote in a poll' that half of the members probably didn't even know about..
I don't even know what FH's deviantart IS.. though i have come across it once or twice but a long, long time ago.. and I have NO idea what "IH" is, and i'm assuming "OIT" is the old IT proboards, ya?

I agree with sly. I'm probably the lest tech savy person here and I can make map, height maps,and terrain masks. Not that hard and if they need help theres a convient little help section. They can learn can't they lol?

That's all you had to say: "Give us time." Not "You should have posted on a poll months ago, get over it." I can handle "Give us time." What I don't like and what I can't handle is the attitude that just because someone didn't post on a poll, or can't/doesn't want to/doesn't have time to make a preset, that means they don't have the right to even suggest new markings on a forum that is meant for people to post suggestions. It doesn't make any sense for a suggestion to be shot down like that. All you ever had to say was "Give us time." And you still haven't taken into consideration new members who, as I said, have shown up ages after the fact.
I don't mean to harp, I really don't. I just can't stand that "Oh well you didn't do this, you didn't do that, it's too late now, get over it" attitude. I understand you guys are busy, but there are less rude ways to tell people things.
In any case, I really like all of these ideas, especially the claws. I have several characters that could use some claws to complete their look. Maybe that could be a new option, kind of like the different eyes? Different claws.

Agreed, claws would be nice.
But no idea should be turned down or looked over just because they didn't know about the poll. I bet half the members of Feralheart don't have a DA, or know what it is. And for one, I don't even know what IH and OIT are. Not everyone can be all over the internet, on every site. What if they were told by a friend about Feralheart? They might not have even know about it until then.

We asked several people and showed them what we had so far and over the mass of 100+ people no one else requested them. However, I'll be remaking some old ones I made from IT as well, including the Dragon and possibly a few more.

Alright guys, Im sure everyone gets it by now. =_= No need to debate ideas shouldnt be shot down and how people should have voted and that stuff. Things happen.
And honestly, I dont see how even the most computer illiterate person cant make maps. I hate that excuse. If your computer can handle the map making program (I dont see why it couldnt) than make one. Theres tons of people here that'll answer your questions. Every time I see someone say I can't make a map, I hope they arent just saying that so people can make one for them when they're perfectly capable of doing it themselves. Its totally fine if you really cant do it. They remade the program for the sole purpose of making it easier for us all to express our creativity and make FH our own world.
Anyway, I'd love some claws. I'd appreciate more markings no matter how they look. Wings are out of the question. (Even though I wouldnt care if they were added or not) Kovu has already stated he wasnt going to add wings back in the interview and people have already made a thousand threads begging for wings. That by itself is getting REALLY old.

Tigg did make some claw meshes, for feline and canine. I think that should be enough. Length doesn't really matter, does it? I understand some people have longer claws, but at least you have claws. ; )

Personally, I agree that everyone saying "Make a preset instead! Make a map!" is getting annoying and tedious. What if we wanted a public map? The map maker is there as a choice, not something we should be forced to do.
And with the presets, I personally find them hard ^^' I've tried numerous times and they've all failed epicly. Plus, I have looked at tutorials, and I've tried those Preset guidlines. I still struggled. Call me stupid if you want xD I don't know, maybe its just me. But not everyone has the skill and patiance to make them.

I agree we need full sock markings :3 If I want my characters toes to be the same as the pelt colour, I just use splatter socks. But sometimes I want the full leg to a darker colour/lighter colour, etc. So I agree we need those :3
I'd love some new places to explore with my friends, so a yes to the new maps as well. I'd like to see some IT's remade and revamped too :3 As well as some new ones thrown in there.
Also a yes to the claws ^_^

We have a full sock marking, it's the Siamese. I use it and it works pretty dang well. We have two sock markings, Kovu will not allow us to make more right now. If you would like a new one so bad, make it yourself and send it in.
I am trying my best to remake some of the ones I already made, because you guys did not like them. Not to mention we had a list up on

We took the most picked and liked markings and put them up for you guys. Be glad we even asked for feedback, I'm tired of you guys complaining to us to make more, get up and do it yourself and see how difficult it can be.

^Thats totally understandable Nala. But as I said, things happen and not everyone here pays attention when you guys need it most. Found that out by just being here long enough. But then again, you cant make everyone happy. I commend you for caring enough to remake your markings.
About the preset thing, too bad. "Make your own-" is something that will be floating around here for a long time and frankly, theres nothing we can do about it. We dont code this game so getting upset when someone tells you to make something that you want is kind of pointless.
For example, a lot of hardheaded people keep begging for wings so bad, that the subject has become VERY touchy with the rest of the community. People will lash out at you for making such a redundant thread. Markings are a prime subject that might end up being like that too.
But while wings and markings are two different categories, what Im trying to say is if you really do want these markings, then 1. Make them yourself, or 2. Ask for them politely and wait for them to be added in an update. Thats about the best we can do. If we keep bugging the staff about this we might get nothing. I think Nala's attitude toward the whole ordeal is evidence enough that the staff DO get annoyed too.
All I ask is that we all stay patient and try not to make thousands of the same thread as it tends to get redundant. =_=

New Area's is an interesting idea, I like it. I've been pondering that thought for a while, and it's nice to have my opinion voiced here. Sorry if this goes against anything anyone has already siad, I haven't read this whole post.

I feel late for posting this :P but Nala these people have a point, no one needs to be shot down because of somthing they didn't know they could contributed to but did it here where this is for suggestions -_- it irritates me and "we will work on it" sounds amillion times better then "well you could of voted on a poll but you didn't, get over it" upsets many people even saying "will work on it" and NOT working on it makes it nicer...please rember manners ^-^
