Title: Quick question about adding copyrighted music to maps.
Post by: DragonSoul99 on February 26, 2013, 04:44:15 am
I have a quick question, can you add a copyrighted song {i.e; a song from a Nintendo game} as long as you give all credit to the creator?
{I couldn't find an answer for this anywhere, so I decided to ask here.}

I've seen plenty people distributing maps with copyrighted music... I mean I don't think there's too much wrong with doing that, but regardless just to be sure and respectful to those artist if you do plan to distribute a map with copyrighted music for public download include a read me file that gives the credits.

 Really when you think of putting a copyright song in a map, really not much harm would really be done. In order for something to be copyrighted, it would be you selling something for a profit that isn't yours to sell. And since Feral Heart is just a game to where it's non-profitable, then you should be alright.
